"I understand, and I am perfectly willing to discuss the terms and conditions of such an agreement. Now, before we waste any more time, I ask that you call off the nukes. Now."

"I will wait to call them off until I see what the United States' and Israel's reaction will be to this. I have a particular idea in mind that you will think clever if this happens." Dmitry then turned back to wait on Steven's reply, seeing the concentration in his eyes.

"No. CALL THEM OFF, NOW." He looked sternly into Dimitri's eyes. "I will NOT tolerate you threatening the existence of the People's Republic of China. CALL THEM OFF."

Dmitry turned back to Premier Wu and shrugged before turning back to wait for Steven's response.

The Premier stood up.
"THIS IS NO LAUGHING MATTER. DO NOT FORCE ME TO RETALIATE, DIMITRI. I HAVE GIVEN YOU MY WORD, CALL THEM OFF OR I WILL SEND MINE HURLING AT YOU AS WELL. REVERSE THIS DECISION OR I WILL MAKE YOU FEEL THE CONSEQUENCES."
He regained his composure, and sat down again.
"I will give you ten minutes. If the immediate threat to my nation's existance is not removed, I will remove your nation off the face of the earth as well. Make the right choice."
The screen turned off.

Dmitry merely chuckled and sat back. "I won't need ten minutes to finish this," he said to himself, before turning back to Steven, determination in his eyes. "Mr. Freephoinex. Will you follow in your friends' footsteps, or will you adhere to both Prime Minister Wilson's and my demands for the disarmament of all WMDs and similarly destructive super weapons active-immediately?"

Zhang was furious. His leader had abandoned him in China's time of need, and he needed to retaliate against this monster before it was too late. Instead of calling for the Premier, General Ping decided to call the Chinese Ministry of Defense and try to get clearance from them.

Post by Jürgen Adler on Apr 17, 2016 22:33:03 GMT
Jürgen cleared his throat and sighed. "President Dmitry, I understand that Russia isn't entirely sure that the Solaris Program is safe. I should clarify with you that The Solaris Program was built primarily as a power source. Europe has had to weaponize it when Andrey Varonov and the previous Global Liberation Schwein-hund leader was still alive. "If you remember from last year, and indeed I remember it clear as day, you requested that the Solaris Satellites that have been firing on your crops and forests be shut down. In kind, most every meteorologist has given me proof saying that it was rather unusual climate change. That is precisely why the smaller satellites have not been active since that day. The only satellites that have been active, aside from the United States Particle Cannons, are the larger, stationary Solaris Relay satellites, as they gather the sun's heat and light even now to power the solar reactors that currently power all of Europe. "I am only content with watching the GLA burn, but if that cost is to see all of the world end in a fiery abyss, the means would not justify the ends. I would rather live to see another day, just as much as my fellow man would wish to prolong his life, even if it is by another day. "I can assure you of this, however. I have already shut down the smaller, weaponized satellites. the stationary satellites, because they will never be used as weapons, cannot and will not be shut down."

"Don't shut down Solaris, Mr. Adler. I never said to fully shut it down. Both I and Edmund Wilson told you that we want to see full WMD and super weapon disarmament from Europe." Dmitry then turned to the French leader with a smile, "And what of France's nuclear weapons? Are they to be disarmed active-immediately as well?"

The french leader looked to Jürgen with a questioning look, speaking in his mother tongue. "Êtes-vous sûrs que c'est un bon, Commandant d'idée Adler (Are you sure this is a good idea, Commander Adler?)" "Il est pour le meilleur, mon ami (It is for the best, my friend.)" The french leader then tightened his lips before clicking the green button the disarm the French ICBMs. Jürgen nodded before the french leader spoke. "Fine. If only to keep the world running."

Dmitry smiled and turned to the Indian and Pakistani leaders as well. "The good news will be that there will be no more summits on the prospects of terrorist organizations. Unless, someone cared enough about their place in history to do as Europe just did and completely disarm and begin disassembling their warheads unilaterally. No one? Fine! Me." Dmitry then pressed the "disarm button" on the Russian nuclear briefcase, resulting in all of the warheads self-destructing midflight, and surprised gasps from the various leaders. "Go on, confirm with your people." Immediately, India's leader pressed the "abort" button on India's briefcase before beginning to discuss with Mamnoon Hussein on disarming Pakistan's. Zhang Ping, on the other hand, was still trying to contact the Chinese, only looking up to see the blips of nuclear projectiles on the map disappearing as they were self-destructed in mid-flight, setting down his phone as he looked back to the President of Russia, who was now staring down Steven Freephoinex and awaiting his and the Israeli President's decisions.

Edmund sat back in his seat and closed his eyes. He knew that there was plenty of time before the summit was over, so the rest of the world could happily discuss a world without any form of WMD while he sat in the background and waited.

Post by Steven Freephoenix on Apr 25, 2016 21:14:11 GMT
Steven was pulled out of the meeting as soon as the launches were confirmed by the secret service and he was to be extracted.
He was on line one with NORAD and Nasa, considering his options, best estimations would give that the renouned particle system being outdated and underfunded couldnt protect the mainland US or the west coast of sanfransico and other iconic cities due to their more neoliberal requests of disarmerment.A trail of sweat drowning his shirt In a darker tone, was this the end times? His choises today would be the pinacle of his administration. The future would judge him accordingly, there was no doubt about that. This stressed him, this stressed the man even more then he realized.
He thought of his options, WMD's were never a thing he wanted funding on.In his days of Nasa his thrusters recived one tenth of the money that ICBM's got.Would this be the end of the world? He never thought russia would go this far, to demand nuclear disarmerment worldwide in such a way...It seemed insane, It seemed mad, It seemed like a blessing in disguise?
He spew out of his VIP saferoom and kicked down the door of the meeting with his escort rushing to catch him. "You, You inhumane Monster Dimitri, you dont know what you have done, Im firing all of our nuclear arsenal as a response.! Check with your people." The room shook with silence, with everyone looking at him with a cold dead stare.
"The order is done, they will all reach the sun! But only after you disarm the ICBM's will I decommision the particle cannon system. Its a waste of tax payer money anyways. Not to mention the other NAU projects in space thats been soaking up money that could have been used for peacefull space applications.Im sick of it, Nebraska will find other ways to overcharge the federal budget with Montana. But this act of madness will not go unanswerd, for this I am hearby ending diplomatic relations with russia and starting a trade embargo with them. We cannot continue to feed and haggle with thoose who would risk the very future of our race in some mad stunt for the history books.Other nations may join me if they wish, wether they do it or not is up to them.America is not foriegn to standing on its own and this will not be a first."
Miller was back in Maryland, his legs on his desk.Watching all of this with a sly grin on his face, things were going to plan...That is until Steven disarmed the US with its nuclear arsenal.Quicly he opened a TV as american news spewed broadcasts of multiple sites launching missles hidden all across central america.Miller had plans for thoose nukes, this naive fool Steven was a man of science, one to listen to but not one to follow.Soon...Soon he would have his time to punish the world for this mistake.
Bit by Bit, Steven was diging his own grave.Millers call to meet with the highest generals in the pentagon would not fall on deaf ears any longer.

Dmitry smiled in satisfaction at what had been done by the US president before turning to the other leaders and clapping his hands together with Putin smirking behind him. "Gentlemen, welcome to the nuclear-free world. Now, without the threat of mutally-assured destruction above our heads anymore, we can discuss on the terms of a treaty to prevent this from ever happening again. Does anyone care to start?"

Aaron smiled, even though he knew the entire disarmament was a sham.
The knowledge to create ICBMs is still there, the ability for any nation "Disarming" itself to re-purpose any of countless spacecraft and create nuclear weapons was simple. If need be, the ability to rearm would be a matter of weeks, if not days. This had been the cornerstone of Canadian Nuclear policy for years, and their engineers had drilled themselves to assemble working ICBMs within just one or two days. The true problem was that Steven had willingly promised to destroy the Particle Cannon system, but even then, without focused de-orbiting, a skeleton drone crew could keep them maintained and ready whenever the time was right.
Even if the US itself didn't know that.
The measure was meaningless, the gesture futile. And hiding an arsenal won't even be hard in the Canadian north.
(OOC: Not going to destroy superweapons that easy).
