Personality:  The Baron was never a gregarious soul, and the years have not been kind to him.  He was groomed from birth to one day take the thrown of Gikkengen, and to see the sands of time wash away his inheritance has left him cold and bitter.  He still perseveres, working his way through the ranks of his adopted homeland, hoping one day to strike a deadly blow against those who have destroyed his inheritance.  He blames many for the fall of Gikkengen, but those he regards with the greatest hatred are the GLA, due to the destruction caused by the Zero Hour Event.  He also maintains a hatred of China for the establishment of bases in Europe after Zero Hour.  That said, The Baron cares deeply for the men under his command, and would kill and die for Britain and its allies.  Preferably, kill.

History: The Gikkengen family was among the most prestigious in Europe, being one of the few feudal families to maintain control of their holdings, and becoming rich of the proceeds of their weapons manufacturing company, Unidyne.  The Baron was sent to Britain at the age of 18 to study at Oxford, and then to the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst. During the Global War on Terror, the Baron lead a Gikkengen brigade against the GLA. The formation, formally named the 31st Mechanized Infantry Brigade, served honorably in many battles. But after Zero Hour, Gikkengen was reincorporated into Austria in the treaty of Prague, and Unidyne was made a government property. Thus, the Baron, dispossessed of land and troops, returned to Britain, and took up a job working for a new branch of SIS, the Covert Anti-Terror Bureau [CAT Bureau for short]. He now works to coordinate anti-insurgent and bio-hazard cleanup activities, and has been known to state "This war will be over when Al Ghazi's head is lying pickled in a jar on my desk."

Army Description: The Covert Anti-Terror Operations Bureau's armed forces are a highly specialized anti-terror unit that are used to combat situations that would normally be too dangerous for normal infantry of the British Army. Specialized hazardous materials units are on standby for use in hazardous areas, and the formations of the Covert Anti-Terror Operations Bureau's armed forces are trained to especially deal with GLA insurgencies and contaminated areas (I.E. working with civilians to solve insurrection problems, cleaning up bio hazards and chemical hazards, and dealing with radioactive disasters.
