(OOC: Ignore the Pootin' Putin in the background. I'll chop it up to his son. )
Dmitry waited in the room next to St. George's Hall, going over his speech again, and again, and again to make sure that what he said wouldn't sound immature or unprepared in front of all of these government officials. Last year's was simple, but this year's federal assembly address was nerve-wracking. With all that had happened, with Omar having escaped custody, Dmitry thought that he would be taken from office and replaced. Vladmimir Putin's son was also present to the affair, as well as several other high-ranking members of government, some of which were present at his last emergency meeting only weeks earlier. As he took some deep breaths and boosted his emotional confidence with complements to himself, one of the officials came up and beckoned him into the hall. He then walked in and stood at the podium, smiling and doing a quick wave as the crowd clapped. He then held up his hand and cleared his throat.
"Prezhde chem my nachnem, ya khotel by poblagodarit' dvukh lyudey za ikh rabotu, pomogaya vernut' Rossiyu k yeye nogam [Before we start, I would like to thank two people for their work in helping Russia back to its feet]." Dmitry then took a sip of water before speaking again. His throat felt dry as he said this.
"General Aleksey Kuz'ma Ouromov, pozhaluysta, zanyat' opredelennuyu pozitsiyu [General Kuzma Ourumov , please take a stand]." The general then took a stand and walked over to greet the President, to where he then turned back to the audience.
"Aleksey proyavil muzhestvo i reshimost' pered litsom opasnosti s situatsiyey na Kipre. Poetomu, chtoby pokazat' svoyu blagodarnost', ya budu pozvolit General'noy Ouromov zanyat' pozitsiyu fel'dmarshalu Rossiya dolzhna idti na voynu, yesli on tak zhelayet [Alexei has shown courage and determination in the face of danger with the situation on Cyprus. Therefore, to show my thanks, I will be allowing General Ouromov to take the position of Field Marshal should Russia go to war, should he so desire]." Everyone then clapped as General Ouromov was bestowed a Marshal's Star by the President, leading to applause as he went back to his seat. He then cleared his throat again, and instead of speaking in Russian, he spoke in English for the man he was about to thank.
"I would also like to thank Jürgen Adler for his cooperation and trusting endeavors with the Russian Federation, and I would also be pleased to invite him to supper this afternoon, should he wish to come." He then took out his speech again and set it on the podium, ready to make his stand.
"Nesmotrya na uluchsheniye Federatsii v techeniye poslednego goda, ya dolzhen byt' tupym, kogda ya govoryu ob etom: Rossiya nakhoditsya v sostoyanii grazhdanskoy voyny, i ni s kem inym, chem voyennosluzhashchikh, kotoryye oslushalis' zakazy na Kipre. Po mere togo kak ves' ostal'noy mir nazyvayet ikh, yevraziyskiye kollektivisty neodnokratno atakovali russkikh soyuznikov, i sozdali svoye sobstvennoye marionetochnoye pravitel'stvo v Ukraine, iz kotorykh oni nazyvayut 'Arstotzka.' Yesli eto voyna, kotoruyu oni zhelayut s Rossiyey, a sam, to eto voyna, kotoruyu oni imeyut. Ikh lider, Viktor Burov, yavlyayetsya odnim iz takikh predatelem Federatsii, i on dolzhen byt' prostavlen kak beshenuyu sobaku on, prezhde chem on naberet vnimaniye gorazdo boleye opasnym protivnikom: Global'noy armii osvobozhdeniya [Despite the improvement of the Federation within the last year, I must be blunt when I say this: Russia is in a state of civil war, and with none other than the servicemen who disobeyed orders at Cyprus. As the rest of the world calls them, the Eurasian Collectivists have repeatedly attacked Russian allies, and have set up their own puppet government in the Ukraine, of which they call 'Arstotzka.' If it is a war that they desire with Russia, and myself, then it is war that they shall have. Their leader, Viktor Burov, is one such traitor to the Federation, and he must be put down like the rabid dog he is before he garners the attention of a much more dangerous foe: the Global Liberation Army]."

"Voyna prikhodit tol'ko k tem, kto etogo zasluzhivayet, i ya lichno schitayu, chto nikto ne zasluzhivayet etogo bol'she, chem Omar Al'- Gazi i yego 'Global'noy armii osvobozhdeniya.' On sdelal posmeshishche iz vsekh v granitsakh Yevropy, Ameriki, Kitaya, i Rossii s yego otkrovennym prenebrezheniyem k chelovecheskoy poryadochnosti. Poetomu ya khotel by ob"yavit' o tom, chto Rossiya Federatsiya v nastoyashcheye vremya lizing sputnikov i prodazhe voyennoy tekhniki dlya tekh, kto budet borot'sya protiv GLA i yego repressivnogo rezhima [War comes only to those who deserve it, and I personally believe that none deserve it more than Omar Al Ghazi and his 'Global Liberation Army.' He has made a mockery of everyone in the borders of Europe, America, China, and Russia with his blatant disregard for human decency. Therefore, I would like to announce that the Russian Federation is now leasing satellites and selling military hardware to those who would fight against the GLA and its oppressive regime]." Applause was heard as Dmitry took a pause to sip his water.

"I s voyny prikhodyat novyye voyennyye tekhnologii, kotoryye stanut postoyannymi v rossiyskom voyennom arsenale na dolgiye gody. Yeshche v dvadtsat' tridtsat', my nachali rabotu nad novym, boleye moshchnym, chem russkogo tanka nashey nyneshney ' Kad'yak - klassa' T-70, T-80, i T-90. Na dvadtsat' sorok sem' Parada Pobedy na zdes', v Moskve, my budem raskryv nashe noveysheye dopolneniye k arsenalu, naryadu s drugimi novymi voyennymi ustroystvami [And with war comes new military technologies that will become permanent in the Russian military arsenal for years to come. Back in the 2030s, we had begun work on a new, more powerful Russian tank than our current "kodiak-class" of T-70s, T-80s, and T-90s. At the 2047 Victory Day Parade here in Moscow, we will be unveiling our newest addition to the arsenal, along with other new military devices]."

"Tem ne meneye, s armiyey Rossii v gotovom zashchishchat' Rodinu, my dolzhny takzhe obratit'sya k nashey vnutrenney bor'by. Cherez iz dvadtsati shesti forte, my izo vsekh sil pytalis' reformirovat' nashu ekonomicheskuyu sistemu, kak eto kazhetsya, chto kapitalizm kak otkazavshiy Rossii boleye chem dostatochno. V kontse goda, my gordimsya tem, chto znachitel'noye uvelicheniye VVP Rossii, i my namereny prodolzhat' to, chto my delayem i povysit' tsennost' rublya v glazakh stran za predelami Ukrainy, Rossii, i drugikh slavyanskiye rayony. S nashey ekonomicheskoy bezopasnosti, nakonets, vmeste vzyatyye, Rossiya nachnet dobit'sya togo, chego on ne mog v dvadtsat' sorok pyat' i dvadtsat' sorok shest' [However, with Russia's army at the ready to defend the Motherland, we must also look to our internal struggles. Through out 2046, we have been struggling to reform our economic system, as it appears that capitalism as failed Russia more than enough. At the end of the year, we were proud to see a significant increase in the GDP of Russia, and we aim to continue what we are doing and improve the value of the ruble in the eyes of countries outside of Ukraine, Russia, and other Slavic areas. With our economic safety finally put together, Russia will begin to accomplish what it could not in 2045 and 2046]."

"Khotya mnogiye priblizhayet nas dlya nashikh uluchsheniy v techeniye goda, yest' yeshche odna strana, kotoraya ne mozhet pokazat'sya, chtoby otpustit' yego zlobu iz kholodnoy voyny, a nedavno podorvana Rossiyu, otpraviv yego na pogoni za nesbytochnym. Eta natsiya Soyedinennyye Shtaty Ameriki. YA ne budu govorit', chto mne ne nravitsya v Soyedinennykh Shtatakh, no mne ne nravitsya ikh novyy prezident, kotoryy yavlyayetsya stol' zhe plokhim propagandistom, kak moy predshestvennik. YA ne budu stoyat' za nespravedlivosti, chto eto 'Stiven Freephoinex ' reshayet pokazat' Rossiyu. On vysokomeren, pafosno, i teper' pokazyvayet eto, grubo lzhesh' mne dlya togo, chtoby otpravit' vozdushno-desantnykh voysk v pustoy kosmodrom. V rezul'tate etoy lzhi, ya nadlezhashchim obrazom reagirovat' na Freephoinex ne ispol'zuya nichego, krome slov. YA ne poterplyu lgut [Although many commend us for our improvements over the year, there is still one nation that cannot seem to let go of its grudge from the Cold War, and has recently undermined Russia by sending it on a wild goose chase. That nation is the United States of America. I will not say that I do not like the United States, but I do not like their new president, who is as bad a propagandist as my predecessor. I will not stand for the injustice that this 'Steven Freephoinex' decides to show Russia. He is arrogant, snobbish, and now shows this by blatantly lying to me in order to send airborne forces to an empty cosmodrome. As a result of this lie, I have appropriately dealt with Freephoinex using nothing but words. I will not tolerate being lied to]!" Applause was heard at Dmitry's spite towards being lied to about the Baikonur Cosmodrome, and he had one last bit of his speech to state.

"Tem ne meneye, za vse, chto proizoshlo, ya takzhe khotel by ob"yavit' o tom, chto dlya zashchity interesov Rossii ot vneshnikh vliyaniy i ugroz, ya budu nachinat' demontazh Baykonura, kotoryy upal v plachevnom sostoyanii i razoreniya. Vse yego aktivy budut sobrany i peredany v Vostochnyy kosmodrom. V sluchaye vozniknoveniya kakoy-libo bor'be s terrorizmom, to eto budet na russkoy zemle, a ne na kazakhskoy zemle [However, for all that has happened, I would also like to announce that to protect the interests of Russia from outside influences and threats, I will be starting the dismantling of the Baikonur Cosmodrome, which has fallen into a state of disrepair and ruin. All of its assets will be collected and transferred to Vostochny Cosmodrome. If any terrorism occurs, it will be on Russian soil, not on Kazakh soil]!"

A teper', pozhaluysta, podnyat'sya dlya natsional'nogo gimna Rossiyskoy Federatsii [Before we adjourn this address, I would like to thank you all personally for coming, but above all else, I see prosperity in Russia's future. I see a world where all nations can live equally and as one. And now, please rise for the national anthem of the Russian Federation]," Dmitry stated as he saluted, the speakers set up to play the national anthem of Russia.

"Thank you for your time, and make your homeland proud," Dmitry stated in English, earning a round of applause as people began to leave the hall. Dmitry left with his glass of water in hand, letting out a large puff of air when he was out of eyesight and earshot. He felt like he had nearly died up at the stand due to a fear of public speaking. But, he had to get used to it. It would not be the last address to the Federal Assembly that he would attend.
