Personality: A quiet and contemplative man, Pound is content with his own company and is always courteous to those he believes deserve it. Those who he believes are not worthy of his incredibly polite demeanour will instead be subjected to varying degrees of dismissive behaviour from cold bluntness to sarcastic and patronising quips at every opportunity. He is also incredibly difficult to anger in conversation due to his focus on his duties as a soldier instead of being a person.



History: Having been inspired by the feats of bravery on the battlefield in World War 2, a young George Pound joined the British Army. Staunchly loyal to his country, his firm belief is that The United Kingdom is the most potent power that comprises the European Alliance. This nationalist pride results in him being enthusiastic to work with fellow British generals or generals from The Commonwealth nations such as India. Never the less, he is more than willing to work with foreign generals if the situation requires it.



Upon joining, he ended up in The Royal Artillery, causing him to gain a very deep insight into the logistics and usage of artillery in its many forms, be it anti-aircraft guns to multiple launch rocket systems. This resulted in a deep-rooted faith in the power of fire support being the single most important function that must always be available to the infantry at a moments notice.



In regards to his attitude to his work, he is cautious, preferring to wait until he is sure of victory with minimum casualties and maximum damage to the enemy.

Tactics: His approach is incredibly similar to that of the United States Army during The Vietnam War, preferring to first set up a network of heavily defended base camps capable of providing each other and the area surrounding them with artillery fire. From these base camps, he would send forth mechanised formations in the standard "Search And Destroy" strategy to trap and destroy his enemy under a heavy barrage of shells or helicopter gunship rockets.



However, this reliance on artillery means that he is incredibly reluctant to have his forces venture outside the range of fire his base camps provide with their helicopter gunships or artillery batteries.



Army Description: The British European Expeditionary Force is composed of a little bit of everything The British Army has to offer, allowing General Pound the ability to call anything from The Special Air Service to standard infantry regiments to the battlefield.



Regardless, Pound's standard composition when heading into the field would be a massive amount of engineering vehicles, like Warhound AVRE's, and self-propelled artillery such as Gepard anti-air vehicles, Mortar Tracks and Claymore Howitzers. This allows him to swiftly move to a strategic point and dig his vehicles into digouts with accompanying anti-infantry measures and mines. This would then be followed up by helicopter gunships and Harrier jets and mechanised formations consisting of infantry, armoured personnel carriers and tanks.
