The camera moves from some screens to the news anchor. “Good day to all. This is the News with tonight’s main topics: The end of the MEC, problems within Saudi-Arabia, Oman strikes on United Arab Emirates and the Neutral States of Europe.”
[some jingle and scene’s after each other]
“Hello everyone. You are watching to the News. I am Otto Flick. And we will start with the MEC.”
Otto Flick switches from camera angle. “The MEC has been dispatched for several months now but the unrest is still a major problem for the local population. Reports of several militia’s has been confirmed by multiple sources. However, the People’s Republic of China and the European Continental Alliance are doing the best they can. Several former countries already signed up with China’s GAPA group or gained semi-membership to the ECA. Local leaders and commanders are trying to get peace and order back, and fight the militia’s, who try to gain control on several locations in the Middle East.”
Otto Flick looks now straight in the frontal camera. A TV screen appears next to him. “With us is today, David van Rotterdam, live, by a satellite connection. The Orange General, currently in the Middle East. Hello David, how are things around there?”
On the screen appears now the face of Van Rotterdam. “Hello mister Flick. We are doing the best we can over here. Trying not only to set local population free, but also increasing their economies. In terms of money, but also work and trading. We are setting up several industries, if not just repairing the damaged ones. Protecting the cities and towns to whomever is planning to harm them. Perhaps the MEC is no more, yet the PRC and the ECA are doing the best they can.”
“So General, is it true about the ambush from the grounds of Oman? An ambush with, if the rumours are true, containing a SCUD-Launcher?” the anchor asks.
“Yes. I confirm that there was a certain attack by some forces on our allied grounds. At the site where we had several inspections. Intel confirms indeed the SCUD-Launcher, yet this missile launch vehicle was destroyed and taken out by an unknown aircraft or airstrike. With that counter attack, several members of the same force died.”
“With this broadcast I announce that we will launch Project ‘Corner Stone’. This project will contain an invasion from the United Arab Emirates and from the surrounding sea to the country of Oman. This force will take control of this country. We don’t want that the destabilization of the MEC will causes a possible terrorist feeding ground within Oman. We will take control there and secure the country. After that, we will offer it semi-membership to the ECA. The current government will be investigated. Also certain areas are being suspected of holding militias or other dark organizations.”
Otto Flick paused a little after the statement of the Orange General. “Okay. That is a clear statement of the ECA back there…” and some local images appear in the screen. “So the bombing in Medina, has that something to do with this decision, general?”
“Yes Otto, it definitely has. China needs to be backed up. The leaders, soldiers and civilians of the People’s Republic are putting much effort up in the world. We need to maintain good contact with the Chinese. If I may speak for myself: the rescue mission in Cyprus is one of some good examples in order how the Chinese and Europeans work together. With the Middle East crisis around here, we are still working together. Handing over Intel, and helping each other out.”
“Does that mean the ECA will stay in the Middle East, as an active military organisation?”
David takes quickly a sip of water. “Yes. We will increase our military activities here, but also local economies and food supply. We will keep fighting militias. As for an example, after the Medina Bombing, I ordered a squadron of ECA Medics to the specific area, offering help. I am aware to contact the PRC Leader Xingmin Wu , because of his statement about Saudi-Arabia. While we are preparing and working on Oman, Saudi-Arabia needs to be monitored. Just like the Chairman said. If it means that the local government cannot guarantee safety within and around their country, the PRC, with the ECA, will do it by themselves. After this TV interview, I will seek contact with the Chinese."
Some images were shown within Medina. After that, some images were shown of Europe.
“So back to the homelands. Europe. What’s the deal with the Neutral States of Europe?” Otto Flick asks generaloberst Van Rotterdam.
“yeah well, that’s a painful question to ask me there, mr Flick” David replies and Otto Flick chuckles a little. “Well, I was informed that the Neutral States of Europe would join semi-membership of the ECA, as a reaction to the aggressive behaviour from the Eurasian Collectivist Revolution. But at some point we had communication problems. So with this I also announce and sign up sergeant-major Mario Costello to oversee the Neutral States.”
“How do you mean this exactly? Is Europe invading these countries?” the news anchor questions.
“No. We are not invading them. However, our forces will cross the borderline, and reinforce local borders with the territories under control of the Revolution-party. We will again offering them semi-membership. Already some smaller groups are within those countries so the first steps have been made. Yet our official representatives are on their way to the local leaders with the paperwork to sign up the membership-agreements. This will take several days, but we won’t wait on it. Our forces will cross the borderlines as we speak. The local leaders and commanders are aware of this. They are thankfully and happy of our help, our forces, our supplies, and our backup in order to hold head to the Revolutionists.”
“Thank you David van Rotterdam. Best luck with those missions and attempts, live by satellite connection.” As the Orange General nods good day, the weather forecast was brought up…
OOC: FYI: Oman will be invaded. Preparations and communications with the Chinese and Saudi-Arabia will occur. Neutral States of Europe: 7 days countdown. (see this as my 3th time I claim these territories. (timeline and agreements/notifications on skype earlier)
