Captain Jonathan Brown was sitting in the Shadow Albatross, the command StarLifter given to the Shadow Company. He was preparing his forces for the mission. Just to make sure, he opened his interface and reviewed the objectives: ---ELECTRONIC VOICE ASSISTANT---
LOADING MISSION OBJECTIVES
....
---- OBJECTIVES
1. INFILTRATE THE MINING REFINERY IN TUNISIA
2. TAKE ALL CODES RELATED TO ECA COMMUNICATION PROTOCOLS
3. TRANSMIT DATA VIA NAU COMM LINKS TO CIA
NOTE: CHALLENGER TANK SUPPORT EXPECTED, USE OF GUARDIAN DRONES AUTHORIZED
ATTEMPT TO TAKE ANY GUARDS ALIVE, BUT AVOID LETTING ANY GUARDS ESCAPE. PLAUSIBLE DENIABILITY MUST BE MAINTAINED
END OBJECTIVES ---- END TRANSMISSION
He closed the interface, and began to think about the mission. They were assigned to infiltrate the last stronghold the ECA has in north Africa. This was a gathering point for the Resource Extraction teams that Jürgen Adler occasionally sends out for supplies. It also contained a Refinery for purification before being sent to Europe. It was small, but the CIA had reason to believe that communication data would be contained in it. They weren't wrong: Most ECA bases had communication links incase of an emergency. It was likely to be heavily guarded due to the GLA presense and the occasional terrorist attack, so he was authorized some additional support in the form of Guardian Drones. Typically these would be too heavy for the Shadow Company's use, but this was not supposed to be a quick mission. Brown quickly looked into the forces he was granted for use of this operation. A single starlifter carried the Guardian Drones, in addition to a single mule drone for support of this operation. They were going to need to break the heavy defenses, so they needed all the ammo support they could get. His operatives were already launching Predator Drones over the area to scan it, and they did indeed discover that Challenger Tanks were in the area ready for a possible threat to the base. He foresaw no issues with them due to his Olympus Teams and also the additional support given by the Guardians. His forces were equipped with the latest ATV Humvees as well, which gave them access to PDL Drones for support. Tomahawk missiles are also available courtesy of the Iron Guantlet, but his superiors didn't want to create a fireworks show on a top secret operation, so he kept them on reserve only. He hoped however that this would be a decent fight. He didn't want to just take a ton of prisoners in 10 minutes time. The ECA should be better than that. Just then though, the Pilot Radioed in to mention that they were above the landing site, and should prepare to deploy. He grabbed his weapons, and began to do just that.

Jack Malcolm had been reassigned to one of the North African Mine Refineries to make sure that Liquidators and other GLA infantry wouldn't be able to infiltrate it to keep the codes to the protocols safe. As he was looking at the security cameras, he noticed some movement around the Refinery perimeter when curfew was a couple of hours ago. What was stranger was that the insignia and military uniforms for the soldiers were blurry, and even if they were clear, they were not an insignia he knew "What the..?" He asked himself. It only took him a moment before he realized that military group was attempting to raid a mining refinery! Immediately, he clicked the red button, sounding off an alarm, causing all the infantry and guards to wake up and head to the armory. grabbing their ceramic armor and weapons in the process. Jack Malcolm himself soon grabbed his own arsenal comparable to the original Mad Jack of World war 2, consisting of his standard military gear, a long bow, a long-sword, and grenades before finding the ECA infantry. "An unknown military group has decided to raid this mining refinery. I don't know why, and honestly, I don't care. But whatever they're doing, make sure to have the information safe, and do not let them get any information! AM I UNDERSTOOD!?" He shouted at the top of his lungs. "SIR YES SIR!" all of the infantry reported. "Alright, Move out, and hold the line!" he stated as he strode off of the vehicular department. "Commander Malcolm, where are you going?!" one of the FELIN's asked. Jack Malcolm paused before glancing at the FELIN. "I be off to get me toy, the Fire Worgs be joinin' this defensive skirmish shortly!" He stated as he continued on to the vehicular department as the other infantry hurried to where the soldiers were coming from, putting on their night-vision goggles to help them see in the night whilst defending the Mining Refinery. After a moment, he gathered his tank crew and headed off to gain his personal vehicle to help the mine's defenses.

3:15 AM Outside the Perimeter of the Base
Jonathan Brown moved near the refinery, and had a look through his Binoculars. What he saw was an expected sight. He brought down his Binoculars and relayed the information to the sniper team he positioned on the nearby ridge. It took them a while, but they hit him clean in the arm with a tranquilizer dart. The guard attempted to relay alarm, but couldn't manage it before passing out. "Men, we have a 30 minute window. Sniper Team, stay up there and cover us in-case of an incursion." They Responded: "Yes Captain, as you say." Jonathan then ordered his men to load into the Mule Drone and 2 ATV Humvees, and moved to breach the now-poorly guarded fence. 3:25 Directly outside the Refinery
It took a while, but they managed to successfully sneak their way right outside the refinery. It was weird though: There were very few forces outside of the base. What few challenger tanks they sighted they easily snuck past. Jonathan had high hopes that this mission would be a rousing success with no problems. He got out of the truck, and asked his operators what they saw on their Predator Drones. "Sir, we see a lot of activity on the north side of this base. There appears to be a lot of panic over the fear toxin attacks this past week. But the south side is nearly completely deserted." He didn't question it, and just ordered his men to unload the Humvees. Moving to the door, his Shadow Operatives instinctively threw a Flashbang Grenade into the Entrance. AS a team, they breached the door, but found no-one inside. Jonathan felt that this was too easy, only to be proven right with a nasty alarm sound:
He heard what was probably the worst alarm sound ever, but it alerted him to the fact that their presence was known. He radioed his superiors: "Tex, we have an issue. Our forces were discovered inside. We may need support." He heard no response. He suspected a Jam. He then tried to radio his team out in the Ospreys. "We had an issue, we were discovered. We need a diversion." This time however, he did hear a response: "Sir, we are sending out the teams, and will provide an explosive distraction for you. Our teams are well equipped to handle what little they have out there." He took this as a good thing, but his troubles weren't over yet. He got a message from his Sniper Team: "Captain, I spotted some enemies incoming to your position. I'm trying to take them out, but I am reloading too slowly." Jonathan had to act. He had no response from High Command, so he had to act on his own accord. "This is the only chance we have... forgo non-lethal measures. This goes for everyone. Ignore the objective to not kill anyone. We must get this mission completed." He expected resistance, but he had none. He felt strange at this, but he had no time to act. Enemies were closing in on him. They had to act now. He ordered his troops to arms, and prepared for a firefight. 3:45 AM Outside the Perimeter of the Base
Sergeant Nicolas was outside the base, with his Olympus Teams. Alarms were blaring everywhere, and the formerly quiet base quickly woke up into action. They were ordered to prepare to strike against the Challenger Tanks that began to fire Canister Rounds. While so far they did not manage to hit anyone, they got very close. Operatives were pinned down trying to take down enemy soldiers to provide clearance for Captain Brown's team. His drone operators had an idea. Guardian Drones could not take down Challenger TAnks, but they could give covering fire for his Olympus Teams. The Guardian Drones moved into range of the Challenger Tank and Dug in. The challenger had to take time to switch ammo, but the rounds from the Guardian Drones were just bouncing off or were doing no damage. But this distraction was all that was needed for the Olympus Teams. The missile hit its mark, taking the challenger with it. This allowed the Operatives pinned down to continue to suppress fire, and prevent more enemies from moving in. 3:55 AM Inside the Base
Captain Brown's team was quickly gaining ground. They met enemy riflemen, but managed to easily subdue or kill them. They did reach a few security checkpoints, but a quick interrogation with the Civilian technicians easily got them in. However, this couldn't last. They felt that something special would come out at any moment. And in the communication room, he got his unfortunate wish...

Many of the subdued FELIN's were dragged back to the infirmary to be treated for their wounds, and those that were killed were dragged off by their kinsmen to see about proper burial, thankfully, many of the riflemen were subdued, though the rest could not say the same. Many of the riflemen continued backing up until one of the radios piped up. "All available units, retreat to or near the communications room , Mad Jack is coming in for a surprise, and we need to give him time and delay the thieves!" the radioman stated. Almost immediately, the infantrymen not currently fighting hurried forth to the communication room or in areas that were not currently used. Within moments, a platoon of FELIN's got into the communication room, rifles locked, loaded and prepared to fire. When the opposing soldiers came about, a FELIN Leutnant stepped forward, gun pointed down, but still ready to draw if need be. "Before we continue, I wish to ask something because you are neither members of Europe, nor members of the GLA, who are you, and what are you doing here in this refinery?" (OOC, couldn't find what I was looking for in terms of pictures, but this is the best I could do.)

4:05AM Inside the Refinery
Captain Brown could not believe his luck. The Lieutenant attempted to TALK to them. Instinctively, one of his Black Berets fired a Tranquilizer Dart into the foolish Lieutenant, knocking him down. The rest of the people in the room attempted to fire, but before they could, a flashbang went out. While his Company was able to move out before it blew, the Europeans weren't so lucky. Most of them were blinded and deafened by the flash. The few who resisted were easily taken down by gunfire. It got to the point where in the span of 10 minutes, no-one else could fight. Captain Brown ordered his forces to handcuff any survivors. They were going to have some fun with the Lieutenant. 4:35AM Inside the RefineryThe Lieutenant woke up to find himself tied to a post. In front of him were many Civilian Technicians and his FELINs. They were tied up and handcuffed, preventing them from moving or doing much of anything. "I'm going to ask this once, where are the Communication Protocols?" The Lieutenant responded: "I will not tell you anything until you tell me who you are." Brown motioned one of his soldiers. He went up to one of the FELINs, and shot him in the head with his M9 pistol. The sight sickened him as he saw the blood and bits of his brain flow across the floor. The other hostages began to panic, and screaming was heard. "I will not ask you again Lieutenant: Where are the communication protocols?" The Lieutenant was too panicked to answer. One of Brown's troops then shot at another Hostage, this time at a Civilian. The panic in the room intensified. "You can stop this massacre Lieutenant. Where are my protocols?" Another hostage was shot, and the Lieutenant finally spoke: "We disabled all communication links yesterday." Brown's face turned into one of anger. "What? Is this a lie?" The Lieutenant spoke: "No. This base is being abandoned due to the fear toxin attacks. Order came a week ago. We were about to leave to regroup with the mainland." Brown was furious, but he finally got a message from high command. It rang to him: "The localized jamming has been disabled, but we were watching you the entire time. This isn't much of a stealth operation, but good work keeping to the mission." Brown replied: "Sir, this base doesn't have the protocols we are looking for. It's being abandoned." "We know that now. Our intel was faulty. The president wants to instead build a detention camp here, primarily to hold GLA criminals before being extracted somewhere else." Brown acknowledged, and shut off his radio. "Well, we can't have our protocols, but we can't have word of this escaping, no? Kill them all." The Lieutenant just screamed as the hostages were picked off one by one, this time by Machine Gun fire. He was saved for last, and joined them when Brown personally shot him. "These hostages, dress them up. Make it look like the GLA was here. We cannot be detected." 4:45AM Outside the BaseUnder orders of Captain Jonathan Brown, everyone in sight was to be executed. His operatives did just that, picking off soldiers one by one, not accepting surrender. Some Pandur IFVs came to help, but they were easily picked off by the Olympus Teams. One tank however was giving them trouble. They weren't sure if they could kill it...

4:00 AM Inside the base Jack Malcolm and his tank crew took the tarp off of one of the tanks: a modified Leopard Mk. III battle tank personally named "Fire Worg", a monster of a vehicle that was known to have survived hits that could reduce most of its brethren to utter slag and cinders from Armor penetrating and incediary rounds due to the thickness and angles of the armor. With reinforced treads and armored skirts to make sure that it the tank took a licking, it would keep on trucking. This was Jack Malcolm's personal battle tank, and he trusted no-one else to drive it. Just his own soul and the souls of his tank crew. He smiled and took a swig of beer before looking to the rest of his tank crew. "Inside the tank. Now." He stated before getting to his radio, turning to the channel to speak to the Liutant. "Liutenant, get all units to the comm room and delay them for as long as possible. I've got a little surprise for our univited guest." He stated. "Understood sir!" The liutenant replied. That was the last he would hear of him from then on. As soon as everyone was on board, he climbed in and continued to stand as the tank leader, then pointed to the secondary gunner. "When we get to where tha other vehicles are at, get to tha top floor and begin firin' at anything that isn't us, or a vehicle. If they got drones, shoot them." He ordered. "Yes sir!" The young recruit stated before getting to his position. The key was turned, and the tank roared to life. For anyone nearby, it could have sounded like a true leopard pouncing on its prey after tracking it for miles on end. 4:05 AM Outside the base The Modified tank soon rode on forwards, bringing with it death and destruction to those who attempted to kill it. All the while, Mad Jack smiled. "Load up an armor shredding round. No doubt our uninvited guest brought along some toys of his own!" The ammunition loader did as ordered, and loaded up an anti-tank shell. As soon as that was complete, everyone could hear pings, no doubt enemy fire that rained down fruitlessly against the thicker, more slanted armor. Jack then looked to the battlefield viewer. "Hans, report." "The enemy does indeed have drones sir!"He stated. "So, the United States wishes to play hmm?" He mutters, smiling, before looking to the young recruit. "Alright lad, you're up, man the guns atop and go wild!" He stated. The young recruit smiled and saluted. "Sir yes sir!" He stated before getting to the machine gun on top and began firing at the drones, downing a few of them in the process. Mad Jack Willem smiled once more, almost laughing, and glared near evilly at how well this was going. " FOWARD MEN! LET'S GIVE THESE DOGS HELL FROM SCOTLAND!!!"4:25 AM Outside the base The modified tank continued its route to meet the other tanks, downing more drones in the process that came by. One of the enemy tanks, however, shot an anti-tank shell at the modified Leopard Mk. III tank. Mad Jack, confused, looked to Hans. "Hans, report!" "The enemy tried to shoot at us. So far the slant of the armor made sure it was but a grazing hit!" Mad Jack then Laughed at this. "I KNEW thicker, slanted armor would make this tank more battle-worthy!" He stated before looking to the aimer and gunner. "YOU TWO! Aim the cannon at the bum who shot at us fire!" "Understood sir!" The tank gun aimer used the levers and coordinates to aim at the tank that fired at it. "FIRE AT WILL!!!" At that, the tan gunman shot the armor peircing round at the tank as the modified leopard mk III battle-tank continued to take fruitless hits on its armor.

4:50 AM Outside the Base
Sergeant Nicolas aimed his Olympus Launcher at the strange tank. It was a mile away, so it should not be able to shoot him. He was forced to load one of his special APDSRA rounds however. He knew he couldn't destroy the tank, but he noticed a weakspot: If he could blow the ammo rack, the tank would not be able to shoot. He poked in his Targeting Computer the exact coordinates, gave time for the missile to aim, and fired. The tank hit the Ammo Rack, cooking it off. While the newer tanks had built-in safety measures to prevent a cook-off from outright blowing it to pieces, it still lost most of its ammunition and could not safely open the safety hatch to get more. The strange tank had no choice but to retreat, which it easily did considering its top speed of 60kph. Meanwhile, the tank had already destroyed most of the vehicle arsenal to prevent it from being chased, but it was Phyrric: Most of the ECA troops and vehicles at the base were completely destroyed. The tank was the sole survivor of the conflict. Sergeant Nicolas radioed Captain Brown: "Sir, one tank escaped, but everything and everyone else was destroyed or killed." "Good. I doubt one sole survivor is going to be relied on to spread any information. We are working on dressing this up to look like the GLA attacked. Afterwards, we are to secure a foothold in Tunisia to allow the US corporations to build another prison here. This will also serve as our foothold into Africa. We will be using this incident as a Casus Belli to allow this to happen. But for now, we must move out. Everyone to transports!" Ospreys moved into the area to pick up remaining troops. Captain Brown's team left the refinery to enter the transports. Within 20 minutes, everything was loaded, and incriminating evidence towards the US destroyed. The Ospreys took off, and bided their time to setup the base. (OOC: I think this is finished)
