History
Born January 15th 1981 (aged 64) in Vitebsk (Soviet Union - Belarus - Russian Federation), Alexei Ourumov came from a military family. His father, Arkady Grigorovich Ourumov, was a commander of a Space Division of the Russian Federation. His father was killed in action in 1995, (while fighting a certain British Mi6 agent) when Alexei was only 14. Wanting to follow in his father's footsteps, Alexei joined the Moscow Military Academy in 1999 and graduated as a Junior Officer. Over the years, he rose through the ranks, and in 2023, he experienced his first bouts of combat when he volunteered his skills as an Officer to fight for the Kazakh resistance against the GLA.
In 2036, he was promoted to Field Marshall of the Belarussian Army. Shortly afterwards, he obtained a position as Chief of the Army.
In 2037, Belarus held a referendum, and officially became a Republic of the Russian Federation. His military was merged with that of the Russian Federation. His general staff was intermingled with that of the Russian Army, where he made a lot of new friends and connections. Most importantly, this is when he would begin working with the then-Russian minister Faction Leader Dmitry Molchanov . The two would eventually become very important friends, often promoting and helping one another out, and entrusting each other with important tasks, jobs, and information. In 2042, Ourumov publicly endorsed Molchanov for Vice-President of the Russian Federation.
He was promoted to General-Armii (General of the Army) in 2043, where he would command Army Group Byelorussia.
In 2045, Faction Leader Dmitry Molchanov became the new Russian President after the sudden disappearance of Andrey Voronov. In a controversial move only a few days after taking office, Molchanov appointed Alexei Ourumov as Chief of Staff of the Russian Army, sacking the then-Chief Suroruv Sukhoi. There are many who nickname General-Armii Ourumov the "Vice-President" of Russia, because of the political power he has coming from his relationship with the Russian President.
The same year, he was attained the position of Commanding Officer of the "Cosmomilitsiya" Space Reconnaissance division.
In 2045, he received his first real deployment in Cyprus, and he was up to the challenge. He knew the Russian commander might be trouble, so he packed an ace up his sleeve as he was going to relieve him of command. When he arrived in Cyprus, armed men tried to arrest him, but he then revealed his ace: a platoon of his specialized VKO troopers. He avoided capture, and later lead a successful operation against the rogue Russian forces.
