"Fear controls all aspects of life; from the food we eat, to the battles we fight, fear will always influence your decisions. I have but one fear: the fear of failure."
Login Name: NagandEmerald
Name: Omar Al Ghazi (عمر غازي)
Faction to Join: Global Liberation Army
Age: Unknown (Late 40s to Early 50s as of 2040)
Nationality: Original nationality unknown; currently serves the Global Liberation Army
Personality: Omar is a cold, intelligent, sociopathic, and possibly misanthropic terrorist of whom makes his decisions in warfare with the utmost consciousness on all factors, including military and civilian casualties, amount of importance of a region, and other such factors. He despises humanity, leading to misanthropy, and commonly hides his sociopathic tendencies behind the guise of a psychoanalytical zealot, but Omar is, above all else, a spineless coward; he is always on the move and hiding in multiple locations all across Africa, manipulating politics to his advantage. However, he is no stranger to the horrors of war, and gladly takes new members into the GLA with sufficient strategic and tactical knowledge in guerrilla warfare. He is also not afraid to take out a gun and pull the trigger on his highest ranking, should they be plotting against him or his allies, and he commonly shoots members of the GLA or hostages to prove a point, send a warning, or outright satisfy his homicidal tendencies. He is also an accomplished chemist and physicist, given his use of biological, chemical, and nuclear weapons. It's possible that he may have actual college degrees in multiple sciences, due to his knowledge in human anatomy, physics, and chemistry. His intellect and his misanthropic personality are what make him feared and respected in many countries around the world.
His opinion towards other world leaders, and to the world itself, is as interesting as others, but he clearly hides disdain for everyone around him. One of the Warlords in his inner circle has gone on record saying that, "Omar is terrifying. Simple as that. He believes no one his equal, and sees everyone in two lights: those who are strong enough to serve him, and those who he hates. You don't want to be hated by Omar!" Omar's opinion on Premier Xingmin Wu shows his disdain, and seemingly saved animosity towards the nation that gave the GLA rise, as he has stated that, "Xingmin is a puppet for the Eastern Dragon. Once their "communist party" is done with him, they will cast him aside to the cold and harsh world that is the modern Earth. When he comes groveling to me for mercy, he will only deserve the fear that he has reserved for his country!" With Jürgen Adler , Omar seems to hold even greater animosity towards him and his kinsmen, believing them to be cowardly and terribly incompetent. He has gone so far as to be quoted saying, "Mr. Adler? Please! He is a world-power wanabe: making himself seem like a lion when he is nothing but a mouse in the grand scheme of things! If you left me in a room alone with Adler, there would be screams coming from his corpse!" His opinions on the previous leaders of the world's leading superpowers: the Russian Federation and the United States, suspiciously enough, seemed rather tame in comparison to those of China and the ECA. He was quoted saying, "John Miller and Andrey Voronov were both competent in what they were doing. Everyone hated them for what they did, but me? I would like to say that they provided me opportunity to bring the GLA back into its full glory. Now, their successors are what bother me. Dmitry Molchanov and Steven Freephoenix are idealist-thinkers who believe that they can change the world with a few simple words. That's not how the world works, nor will it ever work as such." With Ramon Cañarte Valverde and the South American Pact, he has been quoted in saying, "South America doesn't concern me now, and I doubt that it will. I say that this pact and their leader is just a phase in the world's power structure. It will fade eventually, like all other phases of life."
History: Although most of this elusive, intelligent, and clever bio-terrorist's early history is unknown, it is known that he was a primary figurehead within the GLA at the time of Dr. Thrax's chemical experiments and various attacks during the Global War on Terror. A comparable "Himler-like" figure to the mentally questionable terrorist, Omar has been rumored to have been Dr. Thrax's "right hand" in his experiments, with alleged master's degrees in chemistry and physics. According to many of his associates, he was very brutal in his operations, and was typically found by other warlords for interrogation and torture methods due to his abnormal liking towards messing with the human body. However, when Dr. Thrax was killed by the hands of a US military forces, Omar seemed to vanish into thin air, almost camouflaging within the GLA as a power struggle reigned on. Many CIA intelligence reports suggest that he had instigated Prince Kassad's betrayal in Cairo and orchestrated many events from behind the scenes under the pseudonym of "Gaboon Viper." However, these rumors must be taken with a grain of salt, as he is, after all, one man. What is known, however, is that he is a chief candidate for the assassination of the late Warlord, Mohmar "Deathstrike," supposedly drawing upon the GLA's fear of increasing industrialization and the push of western influence into their own cultures.
During the African Resource Rush, where other Warlords were taking control of the GLA and passing it on to others, Omar clawed his way to the top of the bin and took control of the GLA through the assassination of his rivals and the Mohmar Loyalists using a private army of soldiers who are fanatically devout to him, known as the Liquidators. His actions inevitably led to him gaining the unconventional leadership of the Global Liberation Army in secret. Eventually, due to numerous coup attempts and a failed attack against him by remaining Mohmar Loyalists, Omar went into hiding once again, not showing himself in person and using others to deliver messages for him, whether they be recordings, videos, or live video feed from the enigmatic warlord. He went so far as to remain clothed in one of his infamous hazardous materials suits at all times, as well as hide in a large group of bunkers hidden in the Congo and across Central Africa. This strategy seemed to work until his machinations of a devastating twin nuclear attack on the cities of Mecca and Rome. Two weeks later, the esteemed warlord showed himself in front of an angry religious commute in Bangui, Central Africa to give them his reasoning behind the attacks and hopefully gain more supporters to the GLA cause through lies and deceit. This ended up with him to be grievously wounded and left for dead in a devastating assassination attempt. Although his body was not found at the site, he was presumed dead by the world. However, due to recent events, including various public messages, presentations at the United Nations, and openly revealing his deformed face, it is difficult to assume him dead any longer, especially with the release of his newest weapon of terror, coined as "Fear Toxin." Since his return, he has since claimed Madagascar, the East African Federation, Gabon, and the majority of Northern Africa. However, despite all of the heinous crimes that he has committed, it is truly the air of mystery surrounding his past and his followers that makes him one of the world's most-wanted terrorists.
Position(s) Held: Grand Warlord of the Global Liberation Army (Leader), Cell Controller of Mamba Cell, Commander of the Liquidators, & Chief Chemist of the Global Liberation Army
Faction Branch: The Liquidators (Private Military Force), Mamba Cell (Major), all Global Liberation Army Cells (Minor)
Base of Operations: Presumed worldwide, but centralized in Central Africa
Military Clearance: Too lazy to finish this at the moment, but I will give you a couple
- Liquidation Contingency Protocols (Enact a series of protocols that buffs GLA forces under Omar Al Ghazi's command in the region for a total of two-four posts depending on the region. There's a total of 150 protocols to choose from, but it's not complete yet and I could use help on developing a PDF)
- WMD Bomb drop (Depending on the army, scenario, and the overall amount of WMDs in storage, the GLA will send in a bomber (or alternatively launch WMD-laden missiles) to drop a chemical, biological, or [more rarely] nuclear WMD on the target. The resulting fallout from the carnage is dependent on the weapon used)
- Heavy Arms Merchants (Upgrades GLA soldiers for a particular battle with better combat armor and better weapons supplied off of the black market. However, the upgrade must be bought off of the Black Market and paid back after the battle at an agreed-upon time)
Tactics: Mixed, but heavy assault-like warfare with heavy use of area-denial via tactical and strategic WMDs & super-weapons
Army Description: Omar Al Ghazi's armies are mainly compromised of highly-trained veteran militants and professional mercenary soldiers armed with some of the heaviest weapons the GLA can buy. They are not nearly as mobile as traditional GLA forces, but are capable of fighting against stacked odds more than their insurgent partners. Although, these are his traditional forces in Mamba Cell. Omar has his own army that has worldwide influence and is capable of turning the tides of battles very quickly: the Liquidators. The Liquidators are even more heavily armed and armored, and have the best technologies that can be bought off of the Black Market, being capable of taking on highly-trained special operations forces across the globe. However, due to both armies having heavier equipment, their mobility and their capability for guerrilla warfare have been severely hampered. Although they are tougher, they are slower and much less effective against quick-moving forces. That said, Omar also tries to counter this with the use of area-denial via tactical and strategic WMDs or super-weapons. (need to make unit lists eventually)
