While on the ECA TV Network was some news bulletin about some minor stuff, suddenly the anchor news reporter gets some information. Both of them concentrated on their earpieces, and Laura takes the word: “Breaking news: General van Rotterdam is requesting this broadcast. All ECA TV networks will turn on our channel as we speak. We are now switching over to Warsaw in Poland, where he will make his speech.”
--------------------------------
After he has set his orders, Van Rotterdam walks back to his office. Ordering to set up a camera at his desk. “Emergency broadcast, warn ECA HQ Brussels about this. This must go on air!” he ordered while taking his seat behind his desk.
Once the camera was deployed, and hooked on the network, he noticed the cameraman nodding, clear that he could begin with his message. The ON AIR light was on.
--------------------------------
“Brothers and sisters of the ECA. Civilians of Europe. People, all over the world. Friends, allies, neutrals or foes. I salute you all. Forgetting at this point our differences, for this is a serious message I am going to share with you all.
You may be in favour of the ECA or not. Perhaps you are listening to this from South Africa, North Canada, or even in the far East. Many of you don’t know me. I am David van Rotterdam. ECA General, and head of the ECA delegation in Warsaw, at the negotiation table. Also the host of this meeting. For as we were nearly done, we received word that the Russians want to participate within these meetings."
"As they have send a small delegation, with their head spokesman General Varennikov, representing the CSTO and the Russian Federation. General Varennikov is mainly stationed in the Balkan Federation. For you who don’t know, that’s a Federation within the CSTO, allied to the Russians. This Federation contains the countries of Greece, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, Albania and Montenegro.
With his presents, General Varennikov requested to have a special word with me. I granted his request. He has the offer that the countries of Croatia, and the Neutral part of Ukraine, would become CSTO, and the other countries remained neutral. Without any decent offers to the countries itself, nor mentioning anything of how to solve some problems, he had offered this deal. ECA should back down. Else the CSTO would go for every of these countries.
Well people, that’s not the main problem. Therefore these negotiations are taking place. To obtain support and gaining interests from the delegations. It’s plain simple. Just having a better offer for them. But then there will be some problems. In order in that meeting, Mr Varennikov was.. pretty.. tempered. He stayed very calm, it was more his words. If we didn’t take this offer, he said the CSTO would go all in on them. and I mean with that going for the countries, at all costs…. Yes…. War. Not just a war, he was even threatening us with a nuclear war.”
Van Rotterdam took a pause, and taking of his hat, and puts it on his desk. Looking a little around in his office. “Let me make myself clear: We from the ECA has put allot of effort in these negotiations. It costs us allot of money and time. Second, some of the main arguments by the other contesters, are that the EU has made mistakes, and did things that in hindsight was not smart to do. I will not deny this took place. But people, these arguments are based on old school happenings. The ECA of today, which occurs to be 10, 11 years old, is nothing compared to how this started. Rising from the ashes from the EU, some of the corrupt bastards sneaked in this organisation. Although some paranoid politicians as well. But in these 11 years many good things happened. We are dealing with our corrupted men since the start. Yes it was hard to build from the rubbles of the EU. But we are a faction like never before. We improved our economy, thanks to the Chinese, to the decent one we have today. We have improved our military force, thanks to the USA. Thanks to the many effort of our own engineering. We have the most modern technology existing today!
Thus I am dealing with some trash of former local authorities. I am ashamed how it happened with the former East European EU countries. But we must face facts. I am trying to redo the decisions what were made like for years ago. The time has come to face facts, and deal with it like real men does. We have the equipment, the utility and the forces. We have the economy and our funding possibilities ready to take our responsibilities. Back in the day the EU did the same thing. Forming that organization and calling in the Euro coin. Till the financial crisis came up, all went nice. And even in the financial crisis the EU did as best as they could, but felt.
These things happen. And I can continue this history story, but I am running out of time. People, we are willing to continue the negotiations. Keep in mind that it’s not the ECA who wants war. We are willing to repair damages. We are willing to take our responsibility. We need to do what’s right in our eyes. And if necessary we will take also responsibility to strengthen our backs. We will stand firm. And we will not fall. The ECA is still here for you! remember when the EU was on its best day. A decent organization! The ECA will become more then that! We shall not been threatened, but respected!”
Van Rotterdam took another sip of his glass. “I will do whatever I can do. What will be the best for the people. Here and there. Leaders could make contact with Van Rotterdam HQ or ECA HQ Brussels. They can even contact ECA Poland if they request.”
...
“it is not our strength to threaten others. It is not our strength to hurt people. They will be hurt. In this case, we will be hurt. That’s our biggest enemy. The pain we are going to gain, if this madness continues. We can deal with the pain. We can deal being hurt. It is just temporary. Pain could be there for 1 minute, 1 hour or perhaps 1 day. But we will overcome our pain. We will outrun the pain. …Pain?” Van Rotterdam took another small pause.
“I don’t know what to say at this moment. What will come today? Even when here, we are still a team. We will continue our peaceful meetings. For it’s there lays our true strength. Yes we can go home, yes we don’t have to impress anybody. We go home, to a broken home, giving up just on this matter? The world isn’t always sunshine and all about rainbows. Does the fear paralyze me? Yes! Of course it does. And I don’t care with what they will thread me. It is not about how hard they will hit me… hit us. It is how much we can get hit. How much we can take.”
The Orange General stood up, the camera following slowly his movement. He grabs his hat and placed it back onto his head. “I salute you all. Europe shall not fall! For as I can say now, my office will be reachable for questions. They will working behind the meeting scenes. Please keep calm, and just wait how this meeting goes. It will be live on television from now on” … and the broadcast ended suddenly. Van Rotterdam leaved his room, and heads back to the negotiations room

Laura too again word: “Well dear viewers, as we have received word, we will continue to broadcast from Warsaw. As we speak we will tune into the negotiation room.” And the TV switched over from the studio to the negotiations room. “As we can see, here in this room are currently the negotiations ongoing. … And yes there is General Van Rotterdam, making his entrance in the room. We will record and broadcast while we.. yes we can hear him…”
