Good evening, you're watching CCTV news with me, xin wenren.
Today's top story, as the Europeans withdraw from their defences in North Africa, China commits yet more troops to the fight against the terrorist enemy. It has been reported that the Chinese Chairman, Wu Xingmin, is deploying another 200,000 troops to Egypt, making China's standing force in Africa numbering over half a million active duty personnel. It is believed that the Chinese military leadership is preparing a military assault on the now GLA-dominated territories left behind by the European Continental Army.
Here are some excerpts of the Wu Xingmin's speech the day of the ECA's announcement to withdraw.
"The European decision to withdraw was a very reckless one. The GLA have been very quick to puppet the states left behind, using bribes, threats, and blackmail. This leaves the situation in Africa very dangerous and precarious, especially to our allies in the Sino-African Pact. Europe claims they are doing this to 'defend their homeland', but the truth is, they have exposed themselves even more to GLA threats and attacks.
The Greater Asian's People's Alliance on the other hand, is not so quick to give up on our African allies. We will press on the assault, until the threat is wiped out. China does not fear the GLA. The Great GLA Insurrection, the First Global GLA War, the European Insurrection, all these wars have resulted in the terrorist enemy being defeated by the might of our war machine. This time will be no different. We will drive them from the North African nations, and bring back peace and prosperity to the African continent."
There is also a possibility of a Chinese joint operation with the Russian Federation and the United States on the African front, despite the ongoing conflict between them in Cyprus. To prevent more tension and possible clashes, Chinese officials will make sure the two nations fight on seperate fronts. A CPC official visit to both nations to discuss the terms of the joint operations will likely happen within the next week.
In other news, yesterday, GAPA has held a major meeting between the entire military staff of all GAPA and GAPA-allied nations was held in Beijing, where they discussed how the war against the GLA should be fought. Members of the Indonesian high command and Indonesian executive parliament were invited to sit in on the meeting and observe.
This did not go well in many places in Indonesia, as radical anti-GAPA rioters took to the streets. The Indonesian government has a very real fear that if they join GAPA, that extremist reactionnaries will openly revolt in the West Papuan region. Chinese leader Wu Xingmin urges the Indonesian government to remain calm and serene, and not to make reckless decisions that will result in "open civil conflict".
Indonesian government forces have shown up on the scene to disperse the rioters. Over a dozen rioters were arrested, and some were beaten. It is clear that should the situation escalate, that many more will be hurt, or even killed. Despite this, Jakarta seems very willing to take their relationship with Beijing further, and join the Greater Asian People's Alliance. No doubt, this decision will be met with resistance by the radical reactionnaries at home.
