((Ladies and gentlemen who may spectate. This is a test battle to help Wang Xi Jintao become more acquainted with the battle system of his choosing. Once this battle is completed, I hope that an administrator will be able to archive it as an example for future reference.
Wang, as the battle unfolds, you are free to ask any questions you may have regarding the usage of generals powers and other such issues.))
London, the capital of The United Kingdom, and the final capital in the sprawling continent of Europe under the control of The AEDP. The organisation had attempted to stem the tide of Chinese arms and manpower pouring across the landscape, but had been unable to halt their advance on the mainland. Their attempts to hold Britain, the island fortress that had been the most hardy of opponents to the likes of Hitler and Napoleon, had also failed as Chinese infantry stormed onto the beaches of Dover. After consolidation, they'd struck forward with their overwhelming might. Now, the defunct Taunton Stop Line, a World War 2 plan to halt a Nazi attack, was reborn to prevent a communist assault.
The defensive line stretched from the coast near Bristol to London, before swinging north towards Yorkshire. London had the strongest defences due to its function as the capital and the location of The AEDP's command and control centres. Guarding the city was The Bodyguard Corps, a group of five divisions that were comprised from units of the Grenadier, Scots, Welsh, Irish and Coldstream Guards, and the re-militarised ceremonial units of The Royal Company Of Archers, The Yeomen of The Guard and The Gentlemen At Arms. Their function was to defend the capital at all costs due to the presence of the royal home of Buckingham Palace.
Standing ready, the Bodyguard Corps awaited the Chinese.
((To provide a brief recap of people's knowledge, or teaching them if they're unaware, a military unit varies in size depending on how many of them are clumped together. A squad is a two sided die, when a number of them are clumped together, they make a platoon, which is a three sided die and the amount increases as the unit gets bigger. Since I am fighting with an entire corps of troops, the dice used by me will be an eight sided die.
A corps, or equivalent formation, consists of 2-5 divisions. Once enough casualties have been inflicted to reduce the size down to a single division, the corps no longer exists and the dice will downgrade to a seven sided die, the die used by a division. This process of attrition will continue until the defender or attacker disengage due to the casualties they have sustained or they have too few troops to have a coherent force.))
