I wish to lodge a formal complaint against Dmitry Molchanov and Mendoza Chávez De La Hoya Card for their actions regarding the annexation/military access agreements that they sought recently. The reason I am complaining is not that they took such a course of action, but I believe that their execution of it was vague enough to mislead others into believing that their presence wasn't needed. Both individuals created announcements in the news portals regarding their intention that they would be visiting their respective locations of Eastern Europe and Central America with the intention of initiating diplomatic actions. I argue that these announcements are misleading due to them being announcements of intent and not actual attempts to begin diplomatic relations, while others may have noticed to the contrary, I did not. There is also the fact that it was never made clear that people were needed to act as the representative/representatives of these locations. In stark contrast, diplomatic actions that were performed in Round 3 were started by actually having an individual open a thread and directly request people to join, which made it abundantly clear to anyone, including those that don't pay attention to foreign affairs, that a volunteer was needed. This particular course of action was never pursued, not even an OOC footnote was added to the news announcement stating that anyone who wished to raise an objection or act as the representatives was needed. |

While your complaint is founded with reason, as someone who may not pay attention to the politics of this RP may see, I believe that we made our point quite clear in our announcements. After rereading the announcements, both Mendoza and I made it clear that we had diplomatic intentions in the regions of Central America and the Eastern European Commonwealth respectively. I do apologize for any inconveniencing/unknowing about the incident, but as far as I see it, it is the faction leader's responsibility to keep up with the politics of the Warzone, regardless of in-character relations with politics.

And I'm stating that your announcement is not a direct request for people to engage in diplomacy. There is no direct request that you require the assistance of a third party to partake in the role of the nation you are engaging with. Plus, you've just said yourself that the announcements showed you had "diplomatic intentions", that has nothing to do with actually taking the time and consideration to inform people that you will need the assistance of a neutral party. Instead, you misused, intentionally or not, the generally vague nature of it being a news announcement to your advantage by either misleading people like myself who didn't interpret it as a request due to it being an announcement, a statement of an intention that will be acted on in the future, or those who have no idea about how diplomacy works in this RP. Remember, there are a number of new people in this round and I doubt you put the time into seeing whether they could interpret your announcement as a request, as you claim it to be.

Fair. I will say that misleading you, or anyone for that matter, was not my intent. However, while not direct, I still stated that Dmitry was going there on diplomatic business. Not to sound rude, condescending, or similar about such an issue, but I would believe that would spark a red flag in diplomacy there. The same could be said for Mendoza's posts, although I will let him discuss further on that, as that is not my business. What is, is that no one made a counter-post or a preparation post for diplomacy in regards to the EEC. Granted, I didn't either, but to tell you the truth without trying to sound too arrogant or elitist here, it isn't just my responsibility to make all of the posts either. I make the majority of posts revolving around diplomacy, but if people have the intent to stop me from making any moves, they should also be able to make the posts regarding diplomacy. Perhaps I should've made an OOC note regarding people to make a post, but I don't believe that removing events that have stagnated with no one responding to them for two weeks should be removed or archived.

I thought it was pretty clear what we wanted to do when we made those reports. It it wasn't, I apologize for the inconvenience, but the decision on whether or not to let something of the like slide is up to the administrator. I openly question this request since the one who started this complaint explained that he wasn’t aware of it. This is not true. You were aware of it since we talked about this matter on skype. You were aware that Russia was going for them 2 neutral Euro clays, as did I told I was fishing elsewhere for own clays.  The old rule is still the 7 days, after a public announcement. Both Russia and the SAP did this. Speaking for myself, I even worked several posts to this, to be specific since the start of this RP. The CAU is a result of the environmental disasters in that area in which only the South American Pact participated to solve this. This is the main foundation of this Union. There was no other faction who made any move towards this issue. Like I stated on skype yesterday (local time for meh) I wasn’t aware of that this rule was changed. The example which you provided us, I think was the Pakistan meeting with Russia? It was Nag’s request to bring more activity, if I am correct about this. But again, without me knowing it, if it even was done, this was not the new method of getting new clays. It is quite fun however, more activity, but yeah. Not official change was made. Therefore I am against the complaint to recognize it as how it was written. Both Russia and the SAP did as they needed to do. I will step next to Nag with his statement that no other faction did a counter move. The news announcements are there for a reason after all. Last but not least… people respond eeeh? How about sergej’s dickmove in the possible new battle system? Do we really want such replies towards serious matters? And why is only Nag and me participating in that one? Fact is… most RP people are kinda lazy or just don’t care about it. If this matter is still disturbing you, I suggest to post a rule change request about diplomacy stuff. Since these moves by Russia and SAP was made in the old method, I cannot see why we stagnate this move. |

Speaking for myself, I don’t see any interests in either territories from a Chinese point of view. But what are we going to do? And Mendoza has a point. The battle system, how hard it is for me to understand either methods which are presented, has been halted for a fair moment of time. Sorry for not participating in it. I lack the knowledge about it. I just want to have some fun and add some drama into this roleplay. So for this matter: Admin you should be clear about what the rules are. I guess that’s the easiest way? Perhaps we should get all active rules together in a decent overview that it is all clear. Speaking as a new player: it is hard to find several rules back. They moved to other sections, or are older and disappear in older pages. ![]()  |
