Time: 0700 hours Sudan
Abdul called his officers and leaders for a meeting. Abdul started: "We have reports that a Russian convoy has been spotted east of our territory, I may ask if anyone can confirm this... Joshua, can you give us the answer?" Abdul signaled the man named Joshua, the newly appointed Intelligence leader of the GLA to answer. Joshua's beginnings were unknown to most of the GLA military personnel but to Abdul, he's as close as his brother. "I can confirm this Warlord, my scouts have reported this incident and is nearby to our 1st SWLF regiment." Joshua answered.
Abdul rallied his men to ready his assault. "Jarmen do you copy?" "Loud and clear warlord, I'll be waiting in the Shadows." An old voice answered.

Moscow, RussiaSeptember 10, 20450715 Hours General Ourumov had been busy setting up all of the formations of the Russian Armed Forces to prepare for a major conflict. However, he had not yet forgotten about Russia's enemies in Africa: the GLA. Knowing that he needed an excuse for Russia to send troops out to war and appease the people of their aggression to the government, he had intentionally placed the convoy's route on a faster route, albeit closer to GLA territory. It was in a gambit to earn the attention of the GLA, and Russian satellites had been positioned above Sudan to search for GLA forces in the area. As he looked to his papers, his generals' communication link rang. He turned on the other end to see the recently promoted Lieutenant General Viktor Orlov. "General-leytenant Orlov. V to vremya kak vashi voyska ne mogut byt' polucheny kak yeshche, u menya yest' zadaniye dlya vas. YA proshu vas kontrolirovat' issledovatel'skoy bazy Kurmuk armii v yuzhnom Sudane. Derzhite glaza otkrytymi dlya vozmozhnoy terroristicheskoy deyatel'nosti , tak kak my perezapuskom tranzitnykh perevozok iz Vostochno-Afrikanskoy Federatsii. [Lieutenant General Orlov. While your troops can not be obtained as of yet, I have a task for you. I ask you to control the research base Kurmuk Army in southern Sudan. Keep your eyes open for possible terrorist activity, since we are restarting transit shipments from East African Federation.]" He then shut down the communications between the lieutenant general and himself. He then smirked as he awaited the moment when General Orlov would call him up on terrorist activity near the convoy.

Local Chinese High Command;
Sudan. 7:20 September 10 2045
Alarms went off and panic was noticeable by several officers. Men running through the hallways informing others as they spoken to each other. Alarm lights keep on flashing and the sound kept on going. The local highest Chinese commander was being awaken by several of his men. He jumped out of his bed, quickly dressed in his uniform and stormed to the main room. “What is this urgent, that I am not enjoying my desired rest?” “Honourable commander. We spotted Russian and GLA movements near the borders of Sudan.” “How do you mean?” he asked firmly. Footage and Intel was provided to him. “Call Beijing! The non-aggression pact could be harmed. We are not sure. Send reinforcements. Send orders!” he ordered to be send to Beijing. “Meanwhile, gather our humble brave forces, we need to prepare ourselves and stand by till we hear from our humble leaders!” Beijing: send extra forces to Sudan immediately, granted. Orders: move forces closer to the location of both the Russians and GLA’s. Orders: Do not engage but await permission. Orders: Only fire when fire upon. Orders: permission for airstrikes on GLA. Orders: reinforcements will contain numbers from the branches: [1, 2, 4, 5, 8] Total time for reinforcements arrive: 1 week. Orders: keep the non-aggression pact, do not break agreements until others break them first. The commander read this transmission. “Send this to everybody.” He said while turning away and preparing his own for this event.

"Warlord, scouts have gathered information that the Chinese forces are now aware of our prescience, soon the Russians will also know, and this will turn out to be a bloodbath for our forces, I request to strike immediately!" Joshua stated.
Abdul was shocked to hear such a thing, the Chinese? why in ever would they intercept in this mission? Well the first thing that comes in mind for the GLA is that they're allies. "Roger my friend, but no matter what the outcome we need to be concealed first." Abdul answered. "Commander, Intercept that convoy now! we must make haste!"

(OOC: correction, evil Brazilian laugh... HUE HUE HUE) Abdul stationed his commanders for a short briefing of the location and the forces they would be taking on. "So my ever faithful commanders, This will be what we will be facing:" "Commanders, The pink line shows the old supply line however the purple one shows the new one. Intel has it that there is an armored company protecting the convoy but, this hasn't been confirmed. The Chinese forces are now aware of our location and our motives but don't engage them unless a bullet grazes to you. They may be protecting the convoy too but we haven't made sure about this yet. So that's all I can give you for now... NOW GO AND FIGHT LIKE MEN FOR THE CAUSE!"

After acknowledging his orders with Ouromov, Orlov prepped a comm-link between him and the Kurmuk research facility. After informing the commander of his new appointment, he began his orders.
"I want the nearest airplane to prepare themselves and take off to provide a recce of the supply line. High altitude to ensure that they can't be shot down. They are to be my eye in the sky so we can ensure this runs smoothly, do you understand?"
The commander gave a brief nod and set about having a Sokol stealth attack aircraft take off from its base to provide the requested reconnaissance.

“My dear humble idiots, there is a small detail you all missed!” The local commander suddenly shouted through the room. “I received Intel about the locations in which the honourable Russians and the filthy GLA warriors…” His men in the same room silenced and paused their work for a brief moment. They looked up. “IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH US HERE IN SUDAN!” he yelled angrily. “Now our beloved Beijing is more worried then needed! But someone will pay for this! I will urge the current investigators to seek within my men. Perhaps we have more troublemakers who don’t understand a simple humble job!” He throws his cup of thee through the room and hits a random display/monitor. “Give this information to our men in Ethiopia. They should just be stand by in case things will get ugly. Same to our troops. And I will inform Beijing personally! But hear my word: the one who screwed up will be shot by myself! Now get back to work!” A little afterwards. Chinese forces in Ethiopia are informed. Guards & patrols are increased significantly.

The Sokol was swiftly dispatched and roared into the sky. The mission was simple; to have a look along the route and see if anything suspicious was in the area, like filthy GLA fighters waiting for a chance to steal precious Russian technology. The stealth fighter soon reached the route and began its first pass along the length of it. "In position," the pilot reported back to command. "Beginning reconnaissance sweep, over." ((OOC: I tried using the dice plugin that's included in the forum, but it's shit. It keeps giving me 5 when I demanded it give me a three sided die. Meanwhile, to Abdul-Al Rashid, the dice roll I've used is the one provided here. It says that it has three options for the recon sweep, 1 being nothing found and detected/killed, 2 being something is found, but they're discovered too, while 3 is he finds what he wants and gets out of there without being spotted! The dice has shined upon me today with its ever knowing glory! All praise the dice gods!)) Ensuring to remain at a high altitude, the Sokol pilot kept his ever vigilant eye on the ground and its surroundings for anything out of the ordinary while cruising at 1,800 kmh. iKJyvI5z

((OOC: I know Orlov, seen a battle that uses the same thing) The GLA didn't notice the Sokol, and continued marching towards the Convoy.
"Support the Infantry with the German IFV's" Abdul commanded, a few minutes later, roaring engines of the German made vehicles accompanied the marching boots of the freedom driven soldiers of the GLA. Although keeping their eyes on the convoy, they still remembered the Chinese forces, and their guard is still up. Jarmen with his team of rookie snipers positioned on the top of a hill keeping his eye for incoming enemy reinforcements.
Although AA vehicles are present, their Radar didn't notice the Russian Sokol for it's altitude was high. Even the Radar vans with advanced radar satellite dishes can't detect the fast, swift and agile Sokol.

"Base, multiple GLA units below approaching the supply route. Composition includes numerous infantry, vehicles and anti-air equipment, over." The pilot reported back. The report was swiftly sent up the chain of command to Orlov. "Blyat!" Orlov thought. "Whoever thought to change the supply route to go through The Zone is a moron. Still, it's nothing Russia can't handle." After a few moments of thought, he put a call through to the individual in charge at the supply routes starting point. ((OOC: Dmitry Molchanov, would it be possible for you to be the guy who is in charge at the beginning of the route? I'd like to see if I can get some extra stuff to accompany the convoy!))

As the convoy's battalion itself was making its way to the Kurmuk Research Base, they had realized that they had entered enemy territory as it was. The commanding officer of the formation, Major Nicholas Aleksandrovich Kozlov, was beginning to have second doubts on the patrol route. However, before he could even contact the base, several shots were heard from GLA enemies. "CYKA!" he yelled as he retreated into a BMP that was accompanying the convoy. It immediately stopped, and Russian soldiers jumped out to fight the unseen combatants. "CP, CP! U nas yest' neskol'ko yedinits GLA! Zaprashivayushchaya nemedlennuyu podderzhku! Over! [CP, CP! We have several units of GLA! Requesting immediate support! Over!" Here is an opportunity to show what my battle system is like. Feel free to criticize. Anti Infantry Damage: 5 percent infantry casualties done to enemy formation (round to nearest whole number) Anti Vehicle Damage: 4 percent vehicle casualties done to enemy (round to nearest whole number) You will do significantly more damage to an enemy formation that is smaller than you. I'd say twice as much for one below, three times for twice below.

((OOC: how would the cassualty role be? Since I don't know much about your system, it would help if you explain it. )) Shots were fired and the cold peaceful landscape turned into a bloody fire fight. Jarmen took note of this and reported: "Base this is Jarmen, they used their guns prematurely... Now the convoy and the Russian army know about our presence." "Damn those soldiers, they still got their trigger happy attitude..." Abdul spoke to Ashraf after Jarmen reported. "All units, return fire! 2nd regiment will arrive soon, remember your objective, secure that technology and show glory for the GLA! The German made Puma went through the lines of the GLA fighters and unleashed their shells upon the Russian forces
