Personality: Although Dmitry is, like many Russians, mainly against Western "imperialism," he is still a man of reason, and he would gladly end his country's wars and past grudges through diplomacy if it meant saving more Russian and CSTO lives than going against it. Despite his political power, Dmitry is a very non-formal person, and tends to stay closer to that of a Russian citizen than that of the Russian President. He goes so far as to go on walks around Moscow without personal escort (that's seen), or even spend his free time playing video games and being online than on more important matters. It's almost childish in the way he acts, but that does not mean that he's a bad leader with no qualms about how the politics of Russia work. In fact, he is a very strong and capable leader when he needs to be, making sure that the security and safety of the Russian Federation is not threatened anyone, and he normally acts on emotional judgement and his own logic in important decisions for the country, rather than off the advice of advisers. His generally carefree personality and his determination to run the Russian Federation back into success make him a good, but not exemplary leader.
History: Known as the "Президент народов," meaning "people's president," Dmitry Leonidovich Molchanov is the new President of the Russian Federation and former Prime Minister to Andrey Voronov as of 2040. He was born to Leonid Aleksanderovich Molchanov, a military man whose own family was alive during the Cold War. Leonid was extremely fond of the Russian military and taught his son everything he knew, hoping that young Dmitry would make a military career for himself. However, Dmitry did not wish to be a mere military grunt, or even a general in the military. He looked up to politics and powerful historical figures like Mikhail Gorbachev and Vladimir Putin for guidance, and after Secondary School, he went to Moscow State University for not only a major in history, but also a major in law and politics, earning him a high place among Russia's elite minds.
Eventually, he met Andrey Voronov, the man who would later become President of the Russian Federation in 2034. After getting on Andrey's "good side," the pair became good friends and worked together to start their own campaigns for higher positions in the Russian governmental oligarchy. During their time in the Russian Senate, Dmitry met Alexei Ourumov, a promising commander of the Russian military forces that would eventually become an important man for him and Andrey to work with. After the landslide victory of Andrey's Presidential campaign in 2034, Dmitry was publicly endorsed by Alexei Ourumov to be the Russian Prime Minister, where the trio began a long series of financial, military, and government changes to the Russian Federation, eliminating the corrupt oligarchy and redrafting several portions of the Russian Constitution, and bringing down the glory of the Soviet Union as a tyrannical rule in Russia's eyes. However, nearing the end of Andrey's Presidency, Dmitry noticed that the Russian Federation had become that much more aggressive in its diplomatic rhetoric and its ideals of other countries, due to his partner's [Andrey] ideas towards how the West operated. Therefore, when the time came again for the next series of elections for President in 2040, Dmitry won when he, a familiar face of the Russian government and partner to the prior President, had announced his candidacy with Andrey as Prime Minister. Afterwards, he made the attempt to start rebuilding Russia's infrastructure and the more delicate sides to the Russian economy as it began to fall, leading to a stagnation in Russia's recession due to a lack of people buying Russian items on the global market. In 2045, five years into his Presidency, Russia has begun to flourish and grow once more with Dmitry's policies and desires on the global scale, leading him to become known as the "Peoples' President" for listening to their concerns and doing what he could to address the problem head-on, rather than avoiding or redirecting the angst of the Russian people.
Personal Life: Dmitry takes his personal life more seriously than his political life. Despite never having married, Dmitry did adopt a son, who currently resides with him and sometimes appears with him on television and at diplomatic assemblies. He owns a 13-year old Shepard-Malamute-Wolf-mix named Chita who stays with him in the Kremlin. He spends his free time online talking with friends from outside his country's borders, walking across Moscow, and playing video games; in essence, he embodies the traditional Russian citizen, despite his state of power, and makes an effort to interact with the public as often as he can when not swamped with political work.
