Lozova, ArstotzkaMay 20, 20470440 HoursOperation Sickle Snapper - Phase 1
The roar of the engines echoed through the cargo holds of Il-78 cargo jets. A full brigade, the 31st Airborne, waited for the moment when they got the green light for their drop. However, none were more nervous than Nikolai Stroganov, a lowly private in in the 31st Airborne. He had been called to duty for an operation against the Collectivists. However, fighting fellow Russians made him sick to his stomach. He had fought in Cyprus with some of those that he had called comrades. However, when General Suvorov had abandoned his troops, he was forced to stay by his sergeant. When Russia deemed those still on Cyprus as traitors, he defected and returned with a platoon of his troops to Russian territory. However, even when given a year's leave, he was called back to service in January 2047 to prepare for the rebels, now known as the Eurasian Collectivists. "Мол, мы около 30 секунд в раскрывающемся списке зоны! [Alright, we're about 30 seconds from the drop zone!]" the Major, Leonid Avilov, yelled out over the intercom on the plane, "Вы знаете целей; операции с серповидными ножами Люциана начинается прямо сейчас! [You know the objectives; Operation Sickle Snapper starts now!]" Immediately, the light in the cargo bay flashed green and the back door of the plane opened. The roar of the wind behind the plane was only drowned out when Nikolai's BMD, along with five others, dropped out of the plane at supersonic speeds. Nikolai held onto the seat which he was practically glued to as his comrades in arms fell from kilometers in the air. The anticipation that they would hit the ground was unbearable, until they felt the all-too familiar feeling of being stopped as the rocket boosters of the APCs activated, slowing their decent as they neared the ground. As soon as they landed, three divisions made their move and begin pushing into Arstotzka. The liberation of the Collectivist territories had begun.

Arstotzkan-Russian FrontFront-Alpha [Sumy, Arstotzka]0512 HoursMarch 20, 2047Russian forces are currently rolling over Collectivist territory with little to no resistance, but this can change at any time. No casualties have been sustained thus far out of the entire corps currently present. Reserves are standing by... Major Boris Volkov was in awe at the lack of resistance from the Collectivists. The sun was already beginning to rise over the eastern horizion, and although there were a few Collectivist forces present, they hadn't been more than just a few soldiers who surrendered rather quickly. It was disconcerting to be perfectly honest, but he was happy that things were going according to plan much faster than expected."Крупных морских походах, это является полковник Грибанова. Доклад вашего формирования его состояния. [Major Volkhov, this is Colonel Gribanov. Report your formation's status.]" The major immediately got a message from his commanding officer and cleared his throat."Полковник; мы только что прибыл в Альфа-передней и столкнулись с минимальным сопротивлением. 31 в воздухе также связались с нами в связи с их положением. Они также не оказывалось никакого сопротивления в своих операциях. [Colonel; we have just arrived at alpha-front and have encountered minimal resistance. The 31st Airborne have also contacted us in regards to their situation. They have also encountered no resistance in their operations.]""Понимать. Следите за хорошую работу. [Understood. Keep up the good work Major.]" The Major then turned to see the other BTRs and BMPs of the brigade that he was in rolling through the city of Sumy. However, they had to keep moving towards their true goal. Their neighboring forces in Kharkiv were also passing by unscathed. Everything was quiet in Arstotzka, which meant that the Russian forces present there had to be more careful than what had been seen in Kazakhstan at Baikonur. Experience had taught many of the soldiers that to be careful was to be safe.50 Kilometers northwest-west of Losova, Arstotzka
Second verse, same as the first; Russian forces are currently rolling over Collectivist territory with little to no resistance, but this can change at any time. No casualties have been sustained thus far out of the entire brigade currently present in the area. The 31st Airborne had been even luckier than their counterparts on the other front. There were no shots fired at them at all, even when they took over the military base only 50 kilometers northwest-west of their drop point. Nikolai was doing better now that the hard part was over, but was still concerned with the lack of fighting spirit in the Collectivist forces. When he had jumped out of his BMD, he did not expect the forces he was fighting to begin putting down their weapons like they were nothing. It was almost sad at how this revolution had lost its zeal and fighting spirit, while the Motherland was still full of it. However, that was not his concern. Private Stroganov was looking out with his binoculars towards the areas where he expected ally forces to come from. Nothing was set in stone yet, but this operation seemed to be in the bag.

Most civilians locked their doors for their safety, the Russians were right, everything was quiet in Arstotzka. Some army bases were deserted, and most Soldiers who are left behind are afraid to shoot. Arstotzka was falling into Russian hands, that is to what most people think.
The Collectivists are trying to draw the Russians deeper until they could flank them, for now hey retreat until orders arrive. Their leader was not available at the time so the Commanding officer, Nikita Ivanov took the role to defend Collectivists' territories. Arstotzkan-Russian FrontSumy, Arstotzka0600 HoursMarch 20,2047As the storm clouds approach the Collectivists, The Russian Front moves swiftly from the outskirts, Thinning the chance of victory. Some of the soldiers stationed in defending Summy are cowards, automatically surrendering if they see a Russian soldier. Most of them are hiding in the shadows, not attacking until given the order.
A surprise attack was imminent, It would be perfect if the Russians will never know their plans. As the Russians close in, they retreat deeper into Arstotzka. Two officers were hiding and observed Russia's mighty army. "Російські наближалися, ми повинні атакувати зараз!" ["The Russians are closing in we need to attack now!"] Sniper Vasily told the commanding officer. "Пізніше Василь, ми вдарити в потрібний час." [Later Vasily, we strike at the right time."] The commander responded. "Сейчас же!" [Now!] He shouted. West of Lozova, Arstotzka0630 HoursThe Collectivists were shocked to see Ilyushin Il-78 planes fly by early morning. Unprepared for both the Halo dropConditions were poor, the Collectivists lack both men and ammunition. This was the day that the Russians arrived. Most drafted soldiers didn't follow directions, resulting in deserters however, most of the Lozovan reserves managed to regroup after noticing the Russian planes dropping some men a few kilometers from their position some hours back. Even though lacking in numbers, their old vehicles were still operational even after the winter. Weakened by the amassing forces and the poor situation, their morale was falling and men were falling left and right, it was a bloodbath for the Arstotzkan forces. Yet they didn't loose their hope. They were outnumbered, but they wouldn't let down without a fight. Casualties: Arstotzkan-Russian Front: 8,550 Units killed or destroyed 15 soldiers killed, 5 vehicles destroyed Things were not going well in the main front, Thousands of lives were lost in the cramped battlefield, Tanks were destroyed, Soldiers were killed, Vasily survived the Russian attacks however most of the sniper team were killed. Things were fine in Losova, only a few men and vehicles were lost, they have received the sit-rep about the battle in the main front, inspired from their small victory they continued to push the Russians back but the battle was not yet over.
