"Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. A familiar face from the 1990's to 2020's has returned. Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin has returned to power as The Prime Minister Of Russia, a position he held under President Medvedev three decades ago. The 94 year old former KGB Agent has replaced Prime Minister Cherdenko, he explained why in an urgent announcement to the Federal Assembly."
The view switched to that of Putin, 94 years old, but not a day over 63, speaking to his fellow politicians.
"People of Russia." He began solemnly. "Today is a day of great injury to our glorious country's pride and reputation. I have the hard task to state here and now that not so long ago... The Grand Warlord Of The Global Liberation Army Omar Al-Ghazi has escaped captivity."
This revelation was followed by uproar from those who were present, however after a few moments, Putin put his hand up and they all fell silent.
"Ladies and gentlemen." He soothed. "I understand that you will feel angry about this tragedy. However, President Molchanov, even though he is on holiday in The United Kingom, has already begun the necessary preparations that will see Russia regain its prestige. The former Prime Minister Anatoly Cherdenko has been dismissed from his post for allowing this disaster to occur. He was entrusted with ensuring that the Warlord would not be allowed to venture forth from our most secure prison, but failed miserably, causing the deaths of multiple civilian prison guards!"
Putin then took the moment to let the crowd vent some more of their anger before raising his hand again to continue.
"I am here to announce also that I have been instructed by President Molchanov to stand as acting Prime Minister in these exceptional circumstances. I have agreed and I stand here before you as the defacto ruler of Russia until President Molchanov returns."
"WHY ISN'T THE PRESIDENT RETURNING NOW?!" A politician cried out. "HE SHOULD BE HERE ALREADY!"
"SILENCE!" Putin ordered authoritatively, causing the room to fall silent instantly. "Gentlemen, President Molchanov has already started the gears of Russia's unstoppable anger against its enemy, The GLA. We shall do everything within our power to track down Omar Al-Ghazi and when we do, since it is assured that we WILL recapture him, we shall ensure, beyond a doubt, that he will NEVER, I repeat, NEVER escape again."
This was followed by thunderous applause as he gave a swift wave before heading out to settle into his new office.
