"115, never fully understood why people had to have so many." Edmund replied, slightly perplexed. "No matter, let's head inside and I'll start cooking."

"Impressive. Although I must agree, why must there be so many floors?" Dmitry walked through the door and looked around to see the beauty of the main room.

Edmund smiled at Dmitry as the president took in the sights.
"I'm glad it's made a good first impression on you." He remarked. "Regardless, I'd better show you to the drawing room before I begin cooking dinner."
Edmund then gestured towards one of the doors and then began to make his way to the drawing room.

Dmitry merely followed as he took in the sights of Chevening House. The Brits most certainly knew how to make an impression. Even if Dmitry could see similar sights back at the Grand Kremlin Palace, Chevening House seemed less of a royal residence and more of a rich residence.
"Your country most certainly knows how to make an impression. I would love to renovate one of the Presidential retreats back in Russia to be modeled after this place. Perhaps even build my own," Dmitry exclaimed in awe at the sights he took in, taking his seat in the drawing room.

Edmund laughed heartily.
"I must admit that the architecture of Moscow was most certainly a grand sight when I saw it, Dmitry." He replied while opening the door to the kitchen. "Do make yourself at home while I get started."

Dmitry took a seat as Edmund went to the kitchen. He continued to gaze at the architecture, looking like he had found the greatest candy store in all of the world. The architecture was homely and welcoming, rather than regal and full of expensive-looking marble and gold. About 30-45 minutes later, Dmitry had gone to find the dining room and just wander along the way.

"Dinner's ready!" Edmund called from the dining room as he placed the plates on the dinner table.
He'd made spaghetti with diced bacon and sausage mixed into it, then drenched it in blue cheese sauce. The food was still steaming as Edmund sat down and waited for Dmitry to arrive and take his seat.

Dmitry heard the call for dinner and rushed to find the dining room. After having found it, he took a seat and saw the meal prepared. While he was not much of a fan of blue cheese, the meal still looked delectable.
"And this is your own recipe, I presume?" Dmitry inquired.

"It was a recipe I made up when I was young." Edmund explained. "Don't worry about the blue cheese, it's just a sauce. I'm not a fan of it either, but when it's in a sauce... It's delicious."
Edmund then cleared his throat, having remembered he'd digressed from his story.
"When I was young, I had the idea of making the classic World War two recipe, Spaghetti Carbonara, however I was worried at how it required the use of raw egg, so I decided to instead use cheese sauce, my mother loved it very much and it became one of our favourite dishes."

"Interesting," Dmitry complimented, taking a bite as he did. "I wish I had a mind for culinary arts. I was always the one who ate plain food. Simple beef stroganov was the main portion of my diet when I was young. Never really cared much for complex food recipes."

"Well, I'd hardly say this is complex." Edmund countered politely. "Plus, simple has always been my preference too. The simpler it is, the more likely it is to please everyone. Once you begin making it complicated, you're bound to upset someone."
After finishing his statement, Edmund began eating as well.

"I never said the meal was complex. I was just rebutting your statement on your making of this meal. I was just saying that I was never one for cooking, due to my lack of vision with food," Dmitry explained, taking another bite of the meal as well.
"But I must agree, a complicated and delicate meal is bound to upset at least one person at the table, while a simpler meal is bound to please everybody."

Edmund nodded.
"Quite. Do you have any plans or places you wish to visit while you're here?"

"London is an obvious choice, but I'd personally like to see some of the English countryside. Perhaps go and see Edinburgh if I have the time."

"Well, if we're heading to Scotland, we may be able to see the islands that our scientists will be inhabiting too."
