Delilah:
Hellow everyone, as you can see we've switched from ENN World News to Euronews due to some heavy matienence as well as some poor decisions at higher management. However, Tonight, it sounds like multiple excavation teams are headed to areas of the Former Byzantine Empire looking for something, as they have digging aparatuses as well as scientists and engineers, and oddly enough, some military personnel. Some claim it to be what it appears to be: an excavation, some people say it's a conspiracy for something darker on the horizon. At one of the excavations, we have James on the field. James?
*Camera switches to one of the excavation areas where James is at*
James:
Thank you Delilah, at one of the excavation sites, we already see some of the FELINS and local police working with each other, helping to keep the civilians out of the excavation sites to keep them safe. Other than that, most of the engineers are working to unearth a portion of the Byzantine areas that some of the local intelligence suggests was an academy or a medieval scientists lab.
Thankfully, one of the lead engineers was kind enough to spare some time for an interview.
*camera switches to where James is speaking with the lead engineer*
James:
Thanks for taking some time out of your schedule to speak.
Engineer:
'Tis not a problem. I managed to pull a few strings with my higher ups to get a little time for this.
James:
I'm certainly content. So why exactly are you doing excavations in the Former Byzantine Empire?
Engineer:
Ah. Straight to the point, I like that. You see, my higher ups find value in excavating medieval ruins for various scientific purposes, whether it be medicine, rediscovery of what our ancestors did, and what many historians are doing to fill the gaps. Myself? I've been into military purposes. My higher-up think they may have found something here, since they believe it might be an academy, a labratory, or possibly a barracks.
James:
I see. What secrets do you think you might find?
Engineer:
Perhaps they might find the nano-technology that created Damascus Steel, or they might find something that could help with military armor. I personally hope we find something more useful, something more related to what both the United States and China have.
James:
And that would be?
Engineer:
A Recipe that could break the morale of any army at the time with it's capabilities of burning in and on water, and was excellent at burning ships.
James:
Thank you for your time.
Engineer:
No no no, thank you.
*Camera switches back to the mail room*
Delilah:
And there you have it people. It seems that they are there looking for military secrets that the Byzantines hid from the modern world. Next up, some arts and crafts for both kids and adults.

Jack Malcolm had been assigned by Jürgen to be security for the excavation: No tanks, but heavy armor, and moderately armed with guns. He saluted the Supreme Commander before getting into a bus that would take him to one of the excavation camps. As he was transported, he took out his cellular phone, and began playing chess on it to help keep his mind sharp.
The trip took nearly half the day to get to the designated camp, but it was worth it. Multiple people from the ECA were busy digging in various spots, some of the civilians helped to set up rest and eating areas for the workers, some of the scientists were working with the engineers on what they had found (which unfortunately wasn't much due to time eroding the former empire.)
Most of the press was gone, this was good. As much as he appreciated the spotlight, this wasn't something that deserved it. He knew that for a fact. That and his tank would give a bad idea, and the wrong impression.
After getting on the bus, he unhooked his flask and drank some of his guiness and strode forth to one of the security guards.
"Ah, Mad Jack, an honor to see you." the head guard stated.
"Aye, agreed. Jus' been assigned ta help with security around 'ere."
"What, no tank?"
"'twould give tha wrong impression, 'sides, heavily armored tank in an excavation camp? Kinda gives off a bad idea, don'tcha think?"
"Ah, understood sir. With the others security guards, the main job is to try and keep the civilians away from the dig site. We've already had a couple incidents in the past about that."

Delilah: Hello everyone, welcome back to Euronews. However, Tonight, we have the chance to meet with Jack Willem, the commander of the Fire Worgs Tank Division, to speak about what's gone on within the former Byzantine Empire to see if they've dug anything up. James?
*Camera switches to one of the excavation areas where James is at*
James: Thank you Delilah, We've seen a lot of activity since last we've been allowed, at looks as though many parts of the Byzantine Empire has been excavated, some of the older buildings have been found, scrolls and texts, as well as formulae for making weapons. However, here we have Jack Willem on the scene about what's going on. Thanks for taking some time out of your schedule to speak with us Mr Willem.
Mad Jack: Aye, I'm always up ta answer some question ya night have.
James: Well then, let's get started. How goes the excavations?
Mad Jack: It's taken a while to be sure. We've not found what we've been lookin' for yet, but most of the evidence points that we're close, nearest ta the military universities, labratories, and alchemists labs, we just need ta keep searchin' this area.
James: Really? That close? Wouldn't it take longer?
Mad Jack: Only if ya don't know where people keep military secrets. Most would go for one end of tha wall to the next. For those who know military, there's always ways ta find foxholes and treasure pits ta get items.
James: And you would know this how?
Mad Jack: It be simple to be sure. No canny commander would keep an ace up their sleeve on tha wall, they also wouldn't have it deep within a city unless one is preparin' for a siege, whether attackin' or defendin'.
James: Thank you for your time.
Mad Jack: No no no, thank you.
*Camera switches back to the mail room*
Delilah: And there you have it people. It seems that Mad Jack is helping the engineers, and the engineers are close. Up next, some recipes that will have the kids love learning to cook.

The excavations had taken longer than it should have, and the citizens of the surrounding area were getting tense. It had been a long month with scientists, engineers, archaeologists, and the diggers continuing their work of excavating the area or any possible clues of the hidden military recipe. However, the patience soon paid off as one of the younger shovellers hit something solid instead of dirt or sand. confused, he hit it twice more, only to confirm it wasn't a loose rock. "I think I found something!" He called out. Some of the scientists rushed over and began cleaning off the solid matter. One of them motioned for one of the engineers to attempt to clean the surrounding area before using a crane to get it out. It took a good part of the hour, but the scientists, and engineers managed to get the tablet out. Once the tablet was out, a group of archaeologists was brought over to see what language the writing was in. Moments had passed before the archaeologists soon came back. "Take this to the research facility, the translators should know what to do from here." Good tensions were high as an armored truck was brought to secure the tablet in order to take it to the nearest research facility so that translators can decode the ancient Byzantine recipe.
