(OOC: This newsflash happend during the Time Line. As requested by The Warzone
After the Cyprus-Event newsflash:
[some kind of a fancy intro]
The camera moves from some screens to the news anchor. “Good day to all. This is the News with tonight’s main topic: Cyprus and the MEC.”
[some jingle and scene’s after each other]
“Hello everyone. You are watching to the News. I am Otto Flick. In today’s topic: The Battle of Cyprus. And the aftermath.”
The German news anchor man switches from camera. “Since the coup on Cyprus under former Russian President Voronovs leadership, the island was turn into a warzone. Gaining more and more ground control to enslave this island within their hands, the president of Cyprus was found death in one of his own rooms. Immediately the rumours were that some Russian local commander was responsible for this. Yet that was not confirmed. Reason enough for the NAU forces to get a grip on this island. Turning this in an all-out warzone.”
“With several causalities on either side, the Russian forces tried to push the NAU ‘invaders’ of the island. The Russians blamed the NAU for several dead civilians, while the NAU was trying to stop the aggressive way of ‘diplomacy’ that the Russians used.” Otto Flick looks into a different camera.
“While the war continued, their came more rumours. The accusations against several lower Russian officers to conscripting local, mostly Turkish’ civilians was a pain in the eye of Turkey, and the MEC. While the Russians using the conscripted civilians to desperately continue their brute forcing tactics to overwhelm the Canadian Forces, the MEC requested and demanded that the ECA and the PRC should intervene on Cyprus. Turkey was afraid of the destiny of its local populations and the Cyprus civilians in common.”
[some images displayed about the rescue mission]
“While the PRC and the ECA already working together within the MEC, to prevent further collapsing and trying to prevent terrorist militias from happening within those countries, both factions agreed to send aid to Cyprus to help them out.”
“With the ECA Navy and Chinese Airforce, the rescue mission was a success. Significant civilians were rescued, and transported to Turkey and surrounding countries. Nevertheless some loses occurred. We aren’t aware of the losses of the PRC, yet the ECA lost its frigate, the HNLMS ‘De Ruyter’, and several crewmembers. Also, ECA’s Navy Commodore, Adam Borgerson, died with this mission.”
[some images of the ECA navy, Chinese Airforce and a picture of Adam Borgerson]
“A spokesman of the Orange General informed us about the next: David van Rotterdam thanks the Chinese Chairman, Xingmin Wu , for this excellent collaborated mission. Second, an increase of the current navy forces at the area of Cyprus, on the Mediterranean Sea to make sure that the interests of the ECA and China will be defended against these Russian traitors, the so called Old Guard. As a third: David admires the courage of the Canadian Forces and its Commander, GPU Leadership . They have been though a living hell, trying to withstand this fascist warfare of the Old Guard. As a last message: David salutes the fallen soldiers and participators for this peace/rescue mission. Quote: ‘there is a time to celebrate this, but now it’s not the time. Let’s honour those who left the lives to protect the innocent’.”
“The MEC states: We are glad that the European and Chinese forces succeed to rescue innocent civilians.”
“Laura, what’s the weather for next weekend?”………
(OOC: The Old Guard is known as the VCCP, The Voronov Communistic Cossack Party. Yet not at this moment due they ‘came out’ later after several smaller events. Gaining more power and territories.)
