ARC News Flash: Madagascan rebels are calmed and in
Good evening, and welcome back to ARC News, with your host, Abd Al Mumin. *the camera view switches to the ARC News station, where the news anchor and co-anchor are waiting* "Good evening everyone, and welcome to the 5 PM news. Tonight's news report is a special one, as we see the end of one of the many conflicts that have erupted as a result of the GLA instigation in Madagascar. Just two hours ago, we saw the end of the conflict between freedom fighters in Southern Madagascar aligned with the GLA fighting against a United States' Specter Gunship.
This fight, having gone on for months on end, has finally ended after GLA-aligned forces retreated to Northern Madagascan territories, where they have already set up a front of anti-aircraft and anti-ground defenses, ranging from hidden minefields to infamous "stinger sites." As a result, the NAU armed forces in Southern Africa are sending in Marines to contain the situation in South Africa to give them greater influence on GLA sea trade.
Whether or not the GLA will retaliate with greater force is unknown. In other news, the situation in Cyprus deepens after it was revealed publicly that the Russian Federation's own forces are turning against itself. Is this the start of a new country being formed, or a sign of the end of the Russian Federation's military power? More later tonight on ARC News, and now for advice for upcoming holidays, such as tonight's Halloween!
"We should not be avoiding our fears like it is the plague. Rather, we should be charging into our fears and facing them head-on. My one fear is losing everything to anyone; but that is why we have war, isn't it?" - Omar Al-Ghazi, former Grand Warlord of the Global Liberation Army & Current Leader of Serpent Cell
