(Closest thing to a workable image I could find, ignore the yellow)
Q: Who are the Stormtroopers?
Stormtroopers are a new elite infantry initiative by the Canadian Armed Forces for situations current Special Forces, Regular Infantry, Armor, or Airpower cannot handle, namely ones requiring a brute force solutions in urban and other environments where armored vehicles would be counterproductive.
Q: What would they be like ingame?
Basically, 800$ Heavy Infantry with advanced high-caliber explosive "Rifles" firing fin-stablized 18.5*100mm fin-stablized High Explosive Shells at a rate of 450 Rounds Per Minute, that mash up light vehicles and infantry good, and happen to be ok against armor. They can be upgraded with one of two Specialist weapon packages, "Lancer" or "Hammer".
"Lancer" consists of a M-739 Man-portable Anti-armor Laser (MANPAAL), an advanced anti-tank weapon, which just happens to roast infantry that it shoots. Think of it like a Tesla or Zone Trooper, same logic applies. "Hammer" gives the Stormtrooper a Pancor M1200 "Pilebunker" automatic shotgun, which is exactly what you think it is, and better yet, it boosts the Stormtrooper's anti-garrison ability.
Speaking of which, Stormtroopers can activate a ability called "Storm" in which they just put their heads down and sprint at high speeds while gaining tempoarily increased durability. They can run into garrisons and kill everyone in there (it kills the first 5 people instantly, then uses ranger logic, being armed with the shotgun just outright kills 10 garrisoned enemies instantly, because reasons).
Stormtroopers use basic powered armor (Designated the Mk. II Stormtrooper) designed using the same advanced composite armor found in the Crusader II for it's high strength-to-weight ratio, making lower caliber rounds extremely ineffective, and boosting their resilience to other forms of weaponry as well.
Q: Is there anything missing from the ingame version the RP version has?
Well, for one, their "Sidearm" a wrist-mounted electronically fired 9mm "pistol" with 3 barrels, each carrying 7 rounds for a total of 21 rounds, alongside a wristblade in place of a traditional knife.. Otherwise, the program is still working on new improvements, with lighter variants expected to be in general service sometime in the decade.
