Greetings ladies and gentlemen of the GLA. I am Omar Al Ghazi, Warlord of the Global Liberation Army and I am here to tell you about how the GLA Hierarchy works. For those of you who are already with the Global Liberation Army, I may have already explained this extensively to you already, but it's always good to have a reminder. As a result, we will have the same explanation of the hierarchy in the GLA Information Base. So, with that out of the way, let's get started.
You start with Militia Clearance, which is basically saying "tier 0." At this rank, you have access to Terrorists, RPG Troopers, Rebels, Hijackers, Mercenary Runners, Technicals, Scorpions, Combat Cycles, and Quad Cannons. At this rank, three losses in a row gets you kicked out of the GLA, which encourages you to make your choices carefully in picking out your soldiers. You have access to nothing else at this rank, so you will not have access to upgrades or anything else in the GLA arsenal until you earn it.
After your first victory (you only require one to get this rank), you will get Commander Clearance, which gives you access to the "Black Market Caches," which is a fancy way of saying that you are given access to basic black market technologies, including partisans, machine-gunner mercenaries, toxin tractors, rocket buggies, and demo trucks. You are also allowed to upgrade your forces for a particular battle, but with only one upgrade. You will also be allowed to get one of the two character-specific units that I pass as acceptable into the GLA arsenal, and access to one General's Ability (sabotaging oil, inciting angry mobs, tunnel ambushes, etc), but each use must be passed by me. However, loosing this clearance takes two losses in a row, and with each loss, you loose technologies and privileges.
After two more victories in a row, you are given General Clearance, which gives you access to the Black Market itself to request higher-priority items, including the BM-21 Grads, Bomb trucks, battle-busses, marauder tanks, assorted MBTs, assorted weapons for your soldiers, etc. You are also given access to use Jarmen Kell once per 2 battles (once we recover him from Gabon) and access to your second-and-final character-specific unit. You are allowed two upgrades for your forces in a particular battle situation, and you are allowed two General Powers that are in the Rank 3 section. However, your prestige is gone at two losses in a row, where, like Commander Clearance, you loose certain technologies and privileges, and takes longer to get to your next promotion.
Finally, after three more victories in a row, you have Warlord Clearance: access to all of the GLA's various technologies and secrets (if I allow), including my own technologies. At this rank, you have clearance to use the GLA's nuclear, biological (Anthrax and other such toxins), and chemical (my fear toxin, nerve gasses, etc.) super-weapon capabilities, such as anthrax bombs, SCUD Storms, and Nuclear Bomb Trucks. At this point, you can not only use YOUR character-specific units, but request other generals' for a price. You are also allowed to have three upgrades for your forces at a particular location. When you're here, you have an eye kept on you by the Liquidators of my character, so be careful what you say or do. Failures in this rank mean that you loose it entirely. If you loose even once at Warlord Clearance, you're taken down to General Clearance or Commander Clearance, depending on the severity/importance of the lost battle.
Well, either way, there you have it. This is how the GLA hierarchy works. I didn't want to get too technical to remain closer to the GLA's own military doctrine, which is, in itself, simple. This same post will be placed within the GLA Information Base, so just in case you need a reminder, then look towards there or here. Anyways, good luck my brothers. May you kill many infidels VERY soon.
