A female reporter smiles into the camera: "Hello and welcome to FFN, where we bring you the most important news, first."
The FFN logo starts flashing on the screen, with the familiar news tune is heard in the background. A few seconds later, the camera zooms in on the reporter: "We start today's news with a statement from the Federal government of the Balkan Federation."
She turns towards another camera: "Last night massive coordinated protests were held in Athens, Belgrade, Sofia and Buchurest, demanding that the Federal Government takes action on the matter of Cyprus. During the night, the protests became larger and most of the protesters spent the night on the city squares. The main organiser is the Byzantine Youth Association, which is the biggest NGO in all four member states, numbering about three million members and many supporters."
After making a short pause she continues: "After the NAU invasion of the island of Cyprus, the Federal Government has held an urgent meeting where they decided to help Cyprus defend agains the aggressor. Many soldiers have been sent to aid the CSTO peacekeepers, with more on their way. All citizens with military training have been ordered to follow the orders of the government, whle the other citizens are instructed to be prepared to evacuate to nuclear shelters if the need arises. The police and military readiness has been raised, as well overal security in the Federation. At the end of the announcement, the head of the Federal Government Alexandros Gianopoulos has called on the NAU forces to withdraw immediately reminding them that they can still stop before they make a mistake they can't back out from."
