Greetings to mein brüder und schwestern in blood, spirit and arms.
Not too long ago, one of our best men has fallen tragically ill, and sadly, not even the top of the line medical professionals could cure him of what he had. Whatever he had took its toll and brought the legendary Iron Dutchman down. Many would suspect the Russians of commiting this heinous act from the propaganda they keep telling the world. To be Ehrlich, I would not blame you.
However, such suspicions would be misplaced, since while they do have the capability of doing so, Russia has more honor than to assassinate a world leader through poison. Truth, one should look more towards the south, towards southing Africa, where the notorious terrorist group, the Global Liberation Army, the GLA to commit this war crime.
However, before we get riled up and go to war with just about anyone as of now, I have been elected by these fine men and women who sit behind me to lead the Vater-landet to bring peace, beat back the terrorist cell groups who call themselves 'soldiers of independence' who are nothing more than Schweinhunds, and perhaps smooth out our relations with the Russian Bear.
*He sighed, then silently gathered his breath*
I realize, however, many of you still are in grief and mourning that our Iron Dutchman has finally rusted and collapsed under his own weight. However, he would not wish us to be in grief, he would wish us to celebrate his life, and remember what he has done for the ECA.
His death was a blow to the ECA, as was the traitorous actions of one of our own, our special research scientist. However, While we should never forget what has been done in the past, we must move on with our lives for the good of the ECA, and for the rest of the world.
*The audience applauses as the supreme commander of the ECA pours himself a glass of water to slake his thirst*
While the politicians toil away with talks and councils, it is the citizens who make up the ECA that drives the wheels, and the multiple divisions of the armed forces from the scottish highlands, to the rugged Italians down in the mediteranian that make the shield and the sword of this giant. All of us are in this together. Though I will admit that desperate times may call for desperate measures, and should the day we pray never comes, we must be prepared to make sacrifices.
However, I, as the Supreme Kommandant of the Eurpoean Continental Alliance, promise to guide this nation that, at one point in history, has built a nigh undefeatable fleet, recharted the world after much information was lost in the dark ages, and built one of the most powerful empires in history. But in return, we must also help other countries that are in need of protection, shelter, and resources, and as stated before, smooth out the relationship we have with Russia. That does not mean we will allow Russia to walk all over us, no. Should Russia desire war, then they shall have it.
As of the moment, we are no-where near prepared for the overwhelming force of what Russia has for us. So if we were to go to war with them now, we would surely be conquered because even now, Russia would cause a massacre to the ECA because of the wildfires that have happened in their country. I would rather have the aggression of the Russian Bear aimed at the Schweinhunds of the Global Liberation Army.
Our Golden Days are behind us, but that does not mean our best days are as well.
