Conquering Russia, China, GLA and Europe :-
In the case of these factions, their entire territory would be divided into three parts : The border territories, the mid territories and the capital territory. In a war in order to defeat these factions, you need to first establish full control in the Border territory first, then on the Mid Territory and finally conquer the capital territory.
As an example I will be using Russia.
Russian Border Territories to be conquered : 10 Bases.
Russian Mid Territories to be conquered : 15 Bases.
Russian Capital Territory to be conquered : 1 Mega Base.
If China declares war on Russia, it has to first conquer the 10 Border Territory Bases, then the 15 Mid Territory Bases and finally the capital mega base. Once the Russian capital falls, Russia would have lost the war and China would have won.
Each base has to be conquered in a battle. Each base battle will have a separate thread. In this case, 26 battles have to be fought before Russia is defeated.
Conquering South America and North America :-
In the case of these factions, their territory will be divided into two parts, the Mid Territory and the Capital Territory.
Other than that, they will have an ocean warfare area where naval and air Force battles take place. In order to defeat these factions, a set amount of ocean battles need to be won, then the mid territory bases need to be conquered, and finally the capital territory should be conquered.
Winning all the Ocean Battles would mean that the attacking faction can beach it's attacking land force (Tanks, Artillery, etc) on the coastal areas of the defending faction and continue land warfare on the remaining two parts.
As an example I will be using North America here.
Ocean Battles to be won : 5 Ocean Battles.
North American Mid Territories to be conquered : 12 Bases.
North American Capital Territory to be conquered : 1 Mega Base.
If Russia declares war on North America, it has to win 5 ocean battles, 12 Mid Territory Bases and finally the capital mega base. Once the North American capital falls, North America would have lost the war and Russia would have won.
Each base has to be conquered in a battle. Each base battle will have a separate thread. In this case, 18 battles have to be fought before Russia is defeated.
Common to both :-
Each part would have a certain amount of bases/battles and all the bases/battles in a certain part have to be conquered/won in order to advance to the next part. The Capital however will only have ONE Mega Base. As the battle is been fought on home ground, the defending faction will have an advantage.
If a major faction loses it would not be removed from the role play. The winning faction can put some terms and conditions that limit the power of the losing faction. However these restricting measures should not be too extreme to completely remove the major faction's influence in the roleplay.
If an independent faction/ minor faction loses then it can be removed from the role play if the faction creator or owner gives permission.
The defeat restrictions need to be accepted by both the winning and losing factions.
Q&A :-
Q: Why so many bases and so many battles ?
A: As the war is been fought against a major faction it is expected that there would be many battles before a faction falls.
Q: Why does North America and South America have no Border Territory and why are Ocean Battles included ?
A: These factions are located on landmasses that are isolated in huge patches of Ocean. Thus, their Border Territories were replaced by Ocean Battles.
Q: Going to the above what happens when North America and South America go to war against each other ?
A: Same Ocean battle setup will apply as there is a very small link between the two continents that is the Panama Canal and it can be considered negligible in transporting land troops.
Feedback is welcome.
