OOC: Due to the circumstances of Croatia and Slovenia having to be redone, this post takes place before the attack on the CSTO by Croatian rebels.
"Good afternoon, and welcome back. For those of you just tuning in, Russia has made some fairly recent pushes into the EEC. With some discussion, it was found that the country of Croatia majorly wished to join the CSTO for protection against European forces."
"Indeed. Croatia and Russia have had long-standing good relations since the end of the Cold War. However, the region wished to keep its neutrality when the ECA rose to power, and the EEC was born with the nation within."
"However, as of this year, the EEC has lost its first official member, and the group is beginning to fear Russian expansionism. President Molchanov had this to say."
"I did not intend to spark a possible conflict by offering a seat on the CSTO to an ally. I expected little to no trouble with the nation joining, but now the EEC is wanting to turn its aggression towards Russia. I don't intend to annex or expand Russia's borders beyond its current ones. I aim to protect former Russian satellites and the interests of the Slavic people, as well as the world."
"President Molchanov certainly believes that his work isn't causing conflict, when it truly is. Many people in the Russian military find his leadership on matters that would require military effort lacking."
